We really like the location of this little hotel but had some issues with the room.
We reached the hotel from Malaga Airport by metro line C1, which takes only tweny minutes. All the highlights, eateries, beach, architecture, shopping and the market were within walking distance, so very convenient.

Our room was small, barely space to open two suitcases and store the clothes since there was no real closet.
We found a small bathroom bin for the garbage, that was it. A bigger one in the bedroom would have been great.
There was no place to sit down, only on the bed. A large fauteuil was placed in front of a table but there was no place to take it out and sit down! I would get rid of the standing sound box in the corner to make place for a chair.
We found the bed really comfy but the bathroom not so...
The shower cabin was dangerously slippery, no handle to grab.During showering the water fled through a gap in the cabin window.
No shelf to put toiletries on.
Very unlogical place to put a towel handle in front of the sink meaning you cannot take a proper look in the mirror and the towel fell on the floor all the time.
Why not putting them on a two hooks, on the side?
So no practicality we found in the room and the cleanness was an issue as well. Aspecially the floor was forgotten several times...

Our room was on the street side but staying on the third floor made the sound slightly less.
Wifi was strong.
Hotel staff was friendly and the male receptionists very willing to help.

The caferia downstairs we found very convenient. They serve great coffee, eggs, sandwiches and later other snacks and drinks (also alcohol) throughout the day (till 21.30)
We didn't take the breakfast buffet, being no big eaters and it didn't seem to be worth the 12euro pp.

It's a pity because all these little annoying things concerning our room can be improved easily (I hope they will sometimes soon).

Stayed for three nights in February. The hotel staff were very pleasant, but our room was in the attic, with only a skylight, so the room and bathroom were quite dark. The room was small with an oversized chair in it, which I had to stand on to open the skylight. There was a coffee maker, but no instructions on how to use it, and a fridge and a safe. The room and bathroom needed some TLC, The lighting was poor, and I don't think the fan in the bathroom worked, which was needed as there was no window, small shower cubicle, but nowhere to put anything. The room was however clean, just needed some TLC. Breakfast was basic but adequate, but the staff seemed to be very noisy. The hotel is in a good location, only 10 minutes away from the historic district, and about 10 minutes walk to the train station

Room Tip: If you want a proper window avoid the 4th Floor

Hotel Soho Malaga. Excellent hotel, staff, breakfast and room, great central location, 5-8 mins walk from railway station and only 12 mins on train from Malaga airport. Very near
bus station for trips along the coast.10 mins walk to port and marina with many restaurants and short walk to Malaga Centre with shopping, tapas bars and restaurants. Just across the main road you will find Malaga market etc.

Room Tip: Front of hotel with with a view.

One of my favorite cities in Spain!

Pros:
Cafe under hotel and a parking lot across the street. The rooms are very modern and NYC-esque. Great location, walking distance to anywhere and everywhere! There is a great Hammam (turkish bath house) about an 8 minute walk away and amazing. Staff was friendly. The staff is very helpful at pointing out the "must see places".

Cons:
Rooms are tiny, very tiny, a lot smaller than we would have liked. We were there for my birthday and our 1 year anniversary and I thought maybe they would accommodate something special for us, they did not. Parking is expensive!

While I probably would look into other hotels if I went back, the rooms are amazingly clean, it was just really the size that was an issue for us. I am a very petite woman and it felt tight to walk around to my side of the bed. I give it a 4 star for staff and cleanliness.
