I picked Los Jazmines Hotel for a fortnights holiday for my husband and myself for the last 2 weeks in May. I chose it because we love the Playamar area of Torremolinos. The Jazmines appears to be made up of the tall building being a hotel and the rest being self catering apts. We were in the hotel as requested, with a sea view. Our room was spotless as was the whole hotel. We had very comfortable beds, a safe, a good fridge. T.V. with no British channels, doesn't bother us, good Wi-Fi in room and a nice bathroom. We had fresh towels every day and toiletries supplied. The dining room was quite busy at breakfast but deserted at night. One evening we were the only ones for dinner, so no holiday feel at all. The buffet breakfast was o.k. but the dinner buffet was very limited in choice. What was there was good but we came to the conclusion that it was more of a B/B place and they didn't want to be left with a lot of waste. My husband asked where the soup was the first night and Leopold the waiter said no soup. He came back later and said the chef said tomorrow he will make soup. The toaster takes about 10 minutes to toast your bread, so put it in first. The puddings consisted of plain yoghurt, small tub of ice-cream and usually boiled rice pudding with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Sometimes there was a couple of small square bits of cake. The bar facilities are non existent until 4.30p.m. when a modern boutique style bar opens on the 8th floor. Open air, with great views. The waitress, Noellia, is fantastic but it is very expensive, so we only used it a couple of times. Great views from up there. If you were at the pool you had to get dressed and go outside if you wanted a juice or coffee. There was a coin operated machine in the reception of hotel if you wanted a coffee or coke etc.. before 4.30. The poolside loungers had seen better days and always had bird poo on them. No seats at all around pool. I was unable to sit and read at the pool so had to go and hire at the beach. There was what looked like a derelict bar area near the pool but obviously hadn't been used in a long time. The reception area has lovely staff, but is very bare and basic. We felt it was a good clean hotel for a couple of nights stay but far too basic for a fortnights seaside holiday.

Room Tip: We were in room 205 and had an end balcony with sea view.

Booking yourself in Hotel Los Jazmines will not leave you disappointed as it meets all the criteria, and more, of the 3-star hotel. The view of the beach is wonderful (we were on the 3rd floor dead center, so those higher enjoy an even better view). The room was thoroughly cleaned daily and the lobby/reception and breakfast areas, along with the elevator, were always in inspectable shape.
You also even get a complimentary drink to be enjoyed on the top, open air (with the aforementioned view), floor.
At the reception desk, a big thank you to Teresa, who was always very, very pleasant, providing maps, answering questions , giving tips and always making us feel welcome and we even got parting hugs when we checked out. Also, Antonio was also very, very nice and always helpful, informative and always smiling.
Tours to a variety of places can be booked directly from the hotel and the bus will pick you up (and drop you off after your long day) directly at the hotel’s door.
The breakfast buffet provides and array of things hot and cold, so one should not be disappointed (and if you are taking one of the early departing tours, a sandwich can be packed for you beforehand).
The swimming pool was not too crowded and was clean, providing a nice alternative to the crashing waves and still slightly cold water (mid-May) of the beach -of which the hotel gives a discount on renting a hammock and umbrella, just across the street.
Air conditioning is available but we left the balcony door open as we slept, enjoying the sound and coolness of the waves, so it was not needed.
The TV had a variety of channels in English, German and of course Spanish. And WIFI, while at times shaky, is also available in the room.
All in all, having walked around the beaches to the left and the right, exploring much of Torremolinos, we were very, very happy with the placement of this hotel. Not too sparse, as some parts of the beach are and not too loud and infiltrated with people, as certainly other parts were. A plethora of restaurants are right at your doorstep, and a nice shopping market, even mini-golf.
With Hotel Los Jasmines the beach is your front yard, along with a large homage to Picasso statue (making it always easy to find your place), and access to the stairway up to the main city is just minutes away.
You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Room 303 was right in the middle for a lovely beach view

Right across from the ocean...and lovely setting. Rooms are basic with kitchenette and balconies. Very clean. Great rooftop lounge but no washroom.
Four of us with 2 separate bedrooms.
Stores and restaurants very close and town of torremelinos only 10 minute drive or bus right outside complex.

The hotel is well located (next to the beach), rooms were basic but clean. Staff was very helpfull.. the worst part was the noise.. rooms had no good isolation and the hotel had no consideration for the guests. For example, they started watering the plants at 1 AM (incredibly making so much noise) and cutting the grass with loud machines at 8 AM.. I could not stand it anymore.. wanted to relax and it ended up being a painfull experience. If you can't relax a single day then it's not worth it.. no matter how good it can be.

We booked through booking.com and had read lots of fab reviews and photos. We were a group of 5 and so needed to book a 2 bed apartment and a 2 bedroom room, and had requested they were close together and received a response that they would try and accommodate our request. On arrival we made the same request only to be told apartments and rooms were in completely separate buildings.
The room was in the main hotel building, everything was as the photos we had seen, it was modern, clean and comfortable, had air conditioning, double glazing and mini fridge and endless supply of hotel water. The roof top bar of the hotel was excellent, reasonable drinks, amazing view and friendly bar staff.
The apartment was at the other end of the hotel grounds. Near the main road, with a side see view of the fantastic beach and promenade. The apartment did not have the modern feel of the hotel room although was clean and comfortable. The downside was that the only air conditioning unit was in the lounge. Being close to the road the apartment was very noisy. The bathroom was dated and had an electric water heater, meaning someone always had the cold shower. Only the double bedded room had wardrobes with hanging space and drawers, the twin room was tiny and had one bedside cabinet.
I asked whether the apartments were due to be modernised like the hotel and rooms and was told no, in fact not all the apartments are owned by the hotel.
We would return but next time would in the hotel, in a bedroom. If I were just rating the hotel it would be 5 stars.
