Arteaga (named for the street) was simple, basic, and small, but it met our minimum requirements and definitely got the job done. The bed was comfortable if small, and the bathroom worked fine and even had a fan - the only one we've found in Spain so far that did!
Definitely a budget hotel. Small room but there was a closet to stuff our bags into. Tiny shower, but the water was hot. We had a room up on the third floor so there was no street noise. Good location, easy access to the old town and the interesting neighbourhoods. Service from the manager was excellent, he definitely tried hard for us, and the communication by email beforehand was pretty good.
They do have discounted parking but it's at a lot (Gran Capitan) that's about 1km from the hotel, so be prepared for a walk. It is possible to drive to the door of the hotel but there's nowhere to stop in that area.More
