This must have been my third or fourth guided tour of the Alhambra. But this one, by Antonio Villalobos, under Granavision is the best one ever.
I booked a private guided tour for our family of 5 and we were assigned Antonio Villalobos.
He showed us around the Alhambra starting from the original gate. He had a very good narrative to explain the history and layout of the palace. He spoke very good English and it was very apparent that he had a good grasp of the history of Spain, and of the world, for that matter. We were all amazed about the information he knew.
Antonio was also very friendly but firm. He allowed us to rest but he made sure we followed the itinerary.
Private tours are more expensive than regular group tours. But our private group of 5 were able to ask questions and engage in a discussion with Antonio, which might not be possible with a bigger group.
For those visiting Granada, it is not enough to see the Alhambra by yourself. A guide, like Antonio, can make the experience more thrilling, informative and fun.
