“Great wee place for a beer or coffee on a nice square.”

We enjoyed having a beer or coffee in the small squares – Plaza Larga was our favourite square and Bar Aixa was our favourite bar. We were surprised that the prices were quite reasonable – there were locals as well as tourists in the café/bars. The beer was served with a big and very nice tapas. There was a very good atmosphere. This would be our local, with good aerobic exercise to get up to it. It is a shame that cars are allowed to drive by though there were not too many

Thanks know what they do but it felt like production work. The plaza itself is really refreshing and lively. People frequently come to play some music.

Hope to see you soon.
Cheers.

This became my favourite spot for tapas and dinner during my stay in Granada - it's obvious that that owners and staff put a lot of effort into making this a cut above the average tapas bar. The whole place is decorate with ceramics and the service was super friendly. Tapas portions are very generous and there's a wide variety. I also the meat platters a couple of times, which is excellent value and highly recommended.

We were on a walking tour and given 30 minutes to eat. We told our waiter and he took good care of us. He spoke excellent English and stopped us when we ordered more than two plates of food. We thought we were in Spain and ordering the regular sized tapas that we have been used to for the last week. NOT here at Bar Aixa, the servings are huge. We got the Spanish Omelette, the fried eggplant with honey and the gazpacho. Wowzer...that was a lot of food and was tasty. We recommend this place for sure. Well worth it.

We came upon Bar Aixa by accident whilst working our way back from the viewpoint of the Alhambra. It was Sunday lunch and a bit chilly so we went into the bar. We were the only tourists there but were made to feel very welcome. The tapas that appeared when we ordered our our drinks were simple and wholesome and enough to see us through the afternoon. We had a great time in what was a busy, local and obviously happy bar.
I looked at some of the poorer reviews and can only say that if you want fancy food then go to a fancy restaurant and pay fancy prices.
