This tower is part of the cathedral and is accessible only from the church. You can climb up the tower for a view of the city.

Sevilla doesn't really have a really nice view from above but if you are in the cathedral you may as well go up. The tower itself it's beautiful and so is the cathedral.

This is the bell tower of the Seville Cathedral. It is over 340 feet tall. We walked up the ramp (not steps - much easier than steps) to the viewing area near the top. The tower is square so there are great views in all directions.

The price for access is included within the cathedral access price. It is a relatively easy climb as for most of the way it is by ramps with the last section about 20 odd steps. I have a damaged knee and didn't think I would be able to do it but felt only slightly sore at the top. There are quite a few intermediate places you can stop for a breather all with views. The top is worth it for the views probably only bettered by the Parasol. Try to avoid the quarter hour when a bell goes off. Enjoyable (because I made it up) and as it is part of the cathdral price (currently 9 euros) very reasonable. Plus lets face it you are in Seville so you have to do it.

We ascended as half the world and his wife and a herd of loud and irrepressible school children descended in single file. What luck. So when we eventually reached the top we were able to gain view spots quickly and enjoy the views. For me it was reading beforehand that the chap who had to walk up five times a day to do the Muslim call to prayer had had ramps not stairs built so he could ride up on his horse that made this a must detail and no where did I see that history recorded which is a shame as for me it was a key distinctive feature with a funny back story. Obviously made Christian with the addition of new levels and bells we were treated to a very large bell sounding less than a metre from our heads. A beautiful tower externally with a great history and story.
