We had a mix-up with our reservation at a nearby restaurant so we tried this one. The view was the best part of the evening.

We had a table along the rail with a great view of the river.

Service was average, and it did take forever to get the check at the end.

We ordered several items – shrimp, a tomato salad, grilled pimentos - and all were good, but not exceptional.

We started with cava, and had white wine by the glass. All were good.

It was a relatively inexpensive evening.

We have all seen those tricks at a fair ground where you choose which of 3 cups has the dice under it. There’s a game on Calle Betis called “Pick one of the 3 restaurants close to each other and see if you get the right one”. Guess what, we got it wrong and chose to eat here.
I don’t think it’s as bad as some reviews suggest but once you have admired the view it doesn’t get better. To be fair the waiter was a nice guy, the speed of service Ok and the rosado wine was pretty good. The paellas that we both had were distinctly average but for the price, simply not worth it. Afterwards we looked at the other two and whilst obviously we didn’t eat there, the prices seemed far more reasonable.
This lunch was our last meal in the city before catching a plane and a shame really as there are some really good places to eat. This is not one and will not stay long in the memory.

Im not sure why we chose to eat here but it looked ok and had a pleasant riverside setting, the view turned out to be the highlight of the evening.
My beer was tepid and the red wine icy cold. I ordered olives which didn't arrive.
The medium rare entrecôte looked and tasted as if it had been poached for about thirty minutes, tasteless pale and overcooked. About half way through I came across a 4in black hair on my plate
The hot food was just about lukewarm and served on a cold plate. We didn't bother with dessert and had to ask three times for the bill. Absolutely inexcusable and all round awful, It wasn't even very busy, and we soon realised why!

We went in for a drink and possibly something to eat in this well situated venue with it's attractive terrace at the riverside.
We had a cool reception and then a long wait to order. The staff seemed disinterested and offhand. Our Rioja wine was served very chilled and there was no further attempt to engage with us.
Having made an effort to find the restaurant in the intense heat of the evening, we left feeling rather disappointed.

Given the prime riverside position of this restaurant, we had anticipated that it would be more tourist than gourmet, but this really was a bad experience. The waitress did not listen, then got upset when she brought something we had not ordered. From that point, things went from bad to worse. She was offhand to the point of insolence, upset other prospective diners so that they walked out and, at one point, coughed all over food she was about to serve - fortunately, not ours! The food was extremely average especially as we all ordered fish and it was a fish restaurant. Would definitely not recommend anyone to use Kiosco de las Flores.
