We took a free walking tour and saw many wonderful sites but this one was my favourite. Built almost 100 years ago in the Art Deco and Neo-Mudéjar styles it is truly beautiful.

Visited the beautiful Plaza de Espana. The front of the building is cover in tiled pictures of different location. There was a small group playing music and dancing Flamenco. The additional offerings around the location horse and cart seemed overpriced for 2 of us, I would suggest trying to pair up with another couple. Prices were up on Holy week. Also there are some old ladies trying to give out rosemary (was lucky heather in London) for cash donations. On the whole a beautiful place with wonderful gardens to walk and relax in

When we visited it for the first time, access was closed so we came back the following day. The previous day we had done a tour in which they mentioned that when they built the plaza, the semi circle represents a “hug” facing South America, which I think is very meaningful. The whole plaza is stunning, from the architectural style to the materials used, the tiles are beautiful and the 50 provinces of Spain are represented in each bench. It was cold so there were no boat rides available, but we had a really great time just walking around. Not to miss if you visit Seville

Spectacular architecture, and well worth a visit, though disappointed that there was not more there as it is actually a civil service office block.

Student Spring break trip to Spain. Everyone thought the plaza was worth the walk from downtown Seville.
