Relaxing ambience, good music selection, and plenty of natural light. Service was exceptional. The plates came out at a good pace and were very artistic and original in their appearance. A lot of wood log plates. The wine pairing was very unique at some points offering a nutty brown beer to accompany a plate of endives with orange foam, hazelnuts, arugula paste on top of a thyme broth. Also a pure apple juice was accompanied with one of the desert courses which paired perfectly. The menu was delicious and bold. The main course of duck breast and slow-cooked duck leg had a sea urchin sauce complimenting it! I would never think that combination would work, but it did and it was delicious! Kudos to Jaime, one of the servers, who spoke English and explained all the dishes beautifully.
I would definitely return to this restaurant the next time I visit Gijon. Highly recommended!
