We were quite unlucky with the weather, still, the places where we did have some view were fantastic and the drive in itself is very, very nice. We walked through the forest and enjoyed it very much, despite the rain and fog. It's like another world when having visited other parts of the island. Well worth it.

It’ s beautiful and I even can’t describe the feelings when you are there.
Have to feel and see this on your own. Must see! Small villages, roads and nice people.

There are a couple of good mirador to get you started (Jardin and Carmen del Cruz)and then a gorgeous drive through the mountains. If you are lucky the clouds will clear and you will get a good view of Teide in the distance. Breath taking. We were only driving from the lovely nearby town of La Laguna but it is definitely worth a drive from the south of the island if you plan it well. Avoid driving through Santa Cruz though, it is a little intimidating.

It's unbelieveable, how Anaga forests differ from other parts of the island. Definitely worth visiting, although the rain is quite possible in this region, and seasickness can happen to you on the roads

This place is crazy cool! Try to visit coming up from La Laguna though as there is a great visitor center there with 2 little hikes. Otherwise you are driving and not knowing what is going on. When the posts talk about switchbacks, they are not kidding. They are sharp and narrow and a lot of them. The views are worth all of it though!
