Natural Swimming Pool

Amazing place to visit. The waves crash over this wall, filling the pool. It's really safe but like an unpredictable water-park. I love Los Gigantes area.
Definitely worth visiting.

Easier to find if you're saying in Puerto de Santiago (go explore and try to find it) this is a great lido type pool. A small curved breakwater and man made wall form a reasonably sized sea water pool. The water is refreshed when the waves come crashing over the top of the breakwater and smaller wall, but fear not, if it's too rough the pool will be closed, if it's not too rough it's great fun. This place is also much favoured by locals and the gate will be closed if the pool is deemed full. The water is as clear as the sea and although not freezing cold it is refreshing. you will see smaller fish and some small crabs (take some goggles). Not suitable for those who have limited mobility and I would suggest taking a few towels to sit on as it is very rocky. ALSO, TRY TO TAKE SOME BEACH SANDALS WITH GOOD GRIP, WET ROCKS ARE REALLY SLIPPERY

Found this place by accident about 12 years ago. Kids loved it, was amazing. Unfortunately have tried twice now, about 4 years ago and today and it's been closed. Wish they had some way of you finding out if it's open before you make the journey. If you are staying in Los gigantes definitely worth visiting.

Went to Los Gigantes especially to find this place, and it still surprised us with how good it was. It's basically a tiny public beach except there's no beach, just a pier and a curved seawall. The waves crash over this wall, filling the pool. It's really safe but like an unpredictable water-park.. and it's free. There are other swimming pools in the area that you can pay into but this is far better. To find this place follow the signs for public pool/piscinas along the sea-front (the map location is wrong)
