Great steak nicely cooked at fair prices. Book in advance with TripAdvisor and take advantage of the discounts. The owner was very talkative, willing to help us choose what to order.

Thank loukole

I read mix reviews about this place and after going there I don't see why. This place is great. The employees and especially the owner was extremely attentive. I'm from the U.S. And a picky eater but this place has satisfied me in every way possible. Very clean and great atmosphere. I recommend for every one bit especially for Americans that are having difficulties finding good food in Spain.

I visited El Calafate on Tuesday 13th May '14 with an Argentinian friend. Table for 2.
Once we chatted with the handsome waiter/owner from Patagonia and his girlfriend? (waitress)..we got friendly with them and the service was increasingly amazing. This place is very plush, however, it is more in the special requests that we got to make this into a complete and authentic Argentinian experience.

We didn't sample the wines, however, they put example bottles on each table...everything from good Mendoza wines to Patagonian ones, too. The friendship/attention to requests was 5 star. I made this an overall 4 star rating....as sometimes people might think that this is a 'grandiose' restaurant. It is not. It is simply a very nice convivial place where one gets to know the regulars and staff and have a really good 'Argentinian' gourmet experience.

The university of Bristol/Cardiff/Wales male owner/waiter was superb, as was his girlfriend. A real friendly warm experience with fine authentic Argentinian cuisine. Superb. They also have a little outside pavement terrace for drinkers and smokers.

Empanadas as 'starters' and pukka 'Entrecote' Argentinian steak done to your liking with sauces as you like...wonderful. The 'dulce de leche' crepe was authentically divine as dessert.

First i need to say that they had a very good carpaccio de solomillo, no question about it. But i did not feel my self welcome there. Staff was not that friendly you expect them to be. Mostly this was the reason i think it was too expensice considering what you get there..Sorry to say.

We visited this restaurant during or stay in Barcelona, although it was late the restaurant was still open and serving. We were directed to a able and given a menu, within 5 minutes the waitress had returned asking if we were ready to order as the restaurant was closing in 7 minutes, had we if been told this when we arrived we would not of sat down. We both ordered fillet steak 300gm accompanied with a potato souffle and roasted vegetables. We also ordered a side portion of chips and a sauce each to accompany our steaks. The steaks arrived with two sliced potatoes that had been cooked in cream and topped with a slice of roasted red pepper with no sauces. We had to ask the waitress fir our sauces and chips and also questioned where the roasted vegetables where. Apparently the sliced red pepper was our roasted vegetables and the sliced potatoes was the souffle. The sauces arrived in a thimble sized square pot at an additional cost of nearly 4 quid each. Altogether the bill came to almost 100 euros. A complete culinary rip off of over priced pretentious rubbish.
