Great location - never had a problem with noise and enjoyed being steps from La Rambla. A short walk to the metro or to the main hop off/hop on bus stop. Also right next door to a tasty restaurant and a Starbucks.
Staff - So friendly and helpful! Front desk was alway able to provide directions and offer recommendations. Quite impressed that they speak so many languages.
Lobby is beautiful. Either entrance leads to the comfortable, welcoming lobby. The bar was nice too - tasty sangria!
Room - great blackout curtains and comfortable bed made for some nice sleeping. Bathroom was nice & clean. Good shower but not great water pressure. They refilled the toiletries each day - nice touch. Room layout was good - useful desk, chair, and closet (with safe).
The lower level pool looked beautiful. The fitness center had two treadmills, a bike or two and i think some weights (and a tv). Not the coolest room - but not terrible.
The roof top terrace was awesome. Went up to relax and read a book on the lounges in the afternoon and for drinks at night enjoying the view and ambiance. The staff was always willing to take a pic for us.
Overall - loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept after cruise & spent most evenings at rooftop pool deck area on the beautiful warm nights, enjoying drinks & tapas after day of sightseeing. Perfect location to walk everywhere....walked to beach one day via Barri Gotic along the marina & beach parks. La Rambla is the heartbeat of the city with fab cafes, restaurants,shops.....like a party every night. We found a very reasonably priced pizza/pasta restaurant nearby to people watch & enjoy the vibe. Our rooms & bed & bathroom were lovely....extremely clean & comfortable. In fact the whole hotel was immaculate ...everyday we observed ladies cleaning, cleaning, changing towel on pool deck etc, etc. The "stunning" decor of huge reception area rooms was, it seemed, a turn off....there was never anyone in those areas ......absolutely bereft of atmosphere...perhaps generated from some front of house staff ....girl who checked us in should not be in hospitality....we felt like we should not be there. The male on the phone next to her was almost screaming at some poor person that they do not take bookings over the phone, only on- line!!!?? We avoided the front desk at all costs, never would we dare to ask a question or advice....until one day we saw a smiling face....Monika..well she turned it all around....so helpful & pleasant. Rooftop staff good too. TV channels could be changed to English I discovered, but perhaps English or US newspapers in foyer could be an idea?...Anyway loved Barcelona & will go back !

Room Tip: We had 6th floor superior room...very happy

A wonderful hotel, great rooms, staff, service and location... no other Barcelona hotel for me!! The roof terrace is just seer bliss!

Only fault was the restaurant/snack bar at the front of hotel.. slow service and need plenty of time to eat...

Room Tip: Book a superior room, larger and more space to enjoy

We stayed three nights in this hotel, situated in a landmark building on La Rambla. A comfortable lobby bar, a scenic rooftop bar, free wi-fi and a courteous staff made this the perfect home base for our exploration of Barcelona. Clean marble bath, great lighting, nice linens added comfort to the stay. The adjacent neighborhood offers many options for tapas and drinks.
