Cannot give enough praise to this hotel. Stayed at the VE for four nights. Meticulously maintained. Rooms were immaculate and never heard noises from others on the floor. Staff was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Special thanks to Manager Ferran who went out of his way to help us with a credit card issue. Breakfast was included and was sensational. Multiple meats, fruits, cheeses, juices, cereals, breads. Nothing truly negative to say about this hotel. Even the stairwell was high end! Only minor drawback is location, as nothing real exciting is around within a 5 min walk. However, the hotel is literally 100 yds from the metro and you can get anywhere you want within 15 minutes (1 transfer).
Have stayed in many nice and this hotel is the best I've been to in Europe for the price. Outside of shelling huge $$$ for a true 5* hotel (like casa fuster), you cannot do any better. A hotel helps make or break the experience and the VE helped make Barcelona memorable trip. Thank you for the great time.

Nice muted toned decor with modern rooms and bath. A twenty minute walk to
the old town quarter and the Rambla. In November, Barcelona had a warm weather front. The hotels air conditioning was already off for the season so we had a window open to the street. This was a bit noisy, especially in the early morning when delivery trucks arrived.
We later moved to an interior room not facing the street and it was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.

New, small, modern hotel, cheerful helpful staff, who called us by name. Great bed. A block from Metro, 3 stops from Placa Catalunya and best of all, quiet at night !! Despite being right on an intersection. We definitely would go back there.

Stylish, clean hotel with helpful staff. Great bed and shower. Minus for the expensive breakfast (13 Euro, go to the delicatessen next door and get it for half the price) and some traffic noise in the rooms facing the street. Good restaurant.

The room was perfectly clean and seemed brand new, with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. It was quite quiet, though I imagine rooms on lower floors are less so (we were on the 5th floor). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice, snazzy bar with a piano player in the evening which attracts quite a few people. Free coffee and tea are served on a mezzanine overlooking the bar from 5-7 PM every day. There is also a very nice rooftop terrace (which we did not use – it was too cold out). The hotel is three metro stops, or a 15 minute walk, from Plaça de Catalunya. The only thing I could possibly complain about is that the Wifi (free) did not work very well. If I go back to Barcelona, this is where I will stay.
