Having visited Japan for two weeks this summer, we formed a taste for raw fresh fish. While back home (Bucharest, Romania) it is quite hard to find good quality Japanese food, we had an idea to try it in Barcelona, a great European port city.
While we had fair expectations, there was nothing to prepare us for the amazing dining experience we had: nice cozy atmosphere, good (white) wines aaaaand, excellent sushi and sashimi, topping even some of the places we have experienced in Japan.
We had moriawase sushi and moriawase sashimi, umeshu (plum wine) and a very good Spanish white wine (Lapola).
We strongly recommend for Japanese food lovers while in Barcelona.
Needless to say that the service was outstanding, as almost always the case when Japanese are involved.
Reserve a place in advance, looked very busy, we had incredible luck to find an available table on a Friday evening.
