“High Street”

Calle Camoens Street
Ranked #1 of 3 Shopping in Ceuta
Attraction details
Reviewed 2 June 2015 via mobile

It's the main high street in Ceuta, very busy lively place. Plenty to look at..... Shops, cafes and places to eat. Watch the world go by or shop until you drop I guess.

This is the main street in Ceuta. It is the heart of the city. The street contains many shops, restaurants, hotels, and bars. there is no way not to be here if you visit Ceuta. Take a while and sit there in one of the rocky seats and enjoy main vein of city moving up and down.

Visiting the north of Morocco (Tanger / Tetouan), or the south of Spain I can recommend taking the time and making that extra effort to visit Ceuta. Whether you are interested in its’ history, designer shopping, the duty free shops or just stopping by one of the many tapas bars, this small enclave has enough to keep you busy all day.

Calle Camoens, the main shopping street has many fashionable shops such as Mango, Zara, Sfera and Pull & Bear and more. And there are always sales on. Many interesting historical buildings line the street as well as the museum and theatre. If you need a rest I recommend the pretty square outside the post office; With its’ splashing fountain and calm atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to sip a coffee or maybe a wine and watch the shoppers go by.

Note; I have visited several times. If you happen to be there at Christmas, the decorations are beautiful.

Clean, buzzy, yet charming main shopping area in Ceuta. Host of tapas bars, designer shops and jewellers to keep you occupied along with a multitude of statues and impressinve buildings.
