Race the steps this is a challenge to race the war time steps to the summit of the The Rock of Gibraltar. Great view of a very loyal part of the UK and Long may it remain so to benefit both Gibraltar and Spain.

Take the steps right into downtown. You’ll end up just a block from the busy main st where you can get a bite to eat with a refreshing drink.

We decided to walk the Steps this morning as penance for an excellent dinner last night at the Waterfront Restuarant in Queensway. The food, drink and company was exceptional and couldn't go unpunished :) At least time time we remembered to take water for the expedition which we forgot to on our last walk up the Steps. That's definitely a Top Tip for climbers!

The summer heat is gone and the Steps are a lovely morning out. The stunning views make this an experience not to be missed. I've done this walk many times over the decades and each time I do it I think it hurts just that little bit more afterwards. The curse of advancing years, I fear!

Just go for a walk slash climb and see the Mediterranean from a new perspective. You will need to wear good sturdy shoes and expect to get sweaty. Enjoy.

If you are an avid hiker, you will love the Mediterranean Steps. The views are incredible and you will get a nice workout. Those fearful of heights might find this trail uncomfortable.
