Still not sure quite what to write here!. We went with a friend who lives in Madrid and know the restaurant and the owner well. We went principally for the music and some promise of Tango (maybe!).
The musicians arrived (piano and guitar) and were very good and certainly helped carry the owner and a friend of his that sang (maybe past their prime!). The atmosphere was great and I believe that the majority of the customers were local. We had some wine but no food. Not bad but not great either.
It really felt like a backstreet bar in Buenos Aires or Montevideo filled with almost shady characters from the 60s or before!
Interesting is the right word!!
