We visited the Feathered Nest as we wanted to show my son and his French friend a luxury end public house. This pub provides beautiful decor, stunning views from garden and terrace and altogether a very nice place to sample a beer or two. This is a luxury pub but we did think that a packet of crisps priced at £1.75 is just a little too steep.
Nice visit though.

Visited again for lunch in the dining room which has lovely views of the Evenlode valley, even on a wet August summer's day. We all opted for the set three course lunch menu with a choice of either sea bream or tomato starter, hake or guinea fowl main course and then passion fruit or raspberry tart. All were stand out, beautifully presented and delicious. £35 might seem a lot but for this standard is money well spent. Excellent service as usual. The owners take a great interest in making sure standards are maintained as much now as they did some years ago when they took over this delightful place.

We go to the Feathered Nest often and it is the best food in the area consistently. However, it has become outrageously expensive. Outrageously!

We went on Saturday for a birthday lunch. There were five of us. Two of us, thankfully, order of the set menu, which was expensive but not ridiculous. Two, however, ordered off the main menu to the tune of nearly 60 GBP for two courses. Total bill, a round of champagne and a bottle of South African wine (very nice selection of these) was nearly 400 GBP, before any gratuity. Again, food was very good, but golly!

The other thing to be prepared for is things take a LONG time. Based on 10-12 visits, it isn't possible to have a meal in less than 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Bottom line, VERY good food, wonderful views, a well-served, leisurely meal -- but you pay dearly for it. Will come back -- but not as often as I would if I didn't feel quite so thoroughly gouged.

Went there for Sunday lunch with my girlfriend and couldn't leave happier. The place itself was amazing.
Beautiful views, great service and most importantly GREAT food.
The prices are a little bit too high I think comparing to other places in the Cotswolds, but still everything so good costs more.
I would definitely like to go back again for a nice meal.
Thanks a lot to the staff

Dinner & an overnight stay to celebrate a birthday were the reasons for visiting. The building is a beautifully restored Pub set in an idyllic village overlooking the Evenlode valley - on a clear day we could see for miles as we sipped a pre-dinner aperitif. The food was of the highest quality - probably the best we have had anywhere in the world! the Polish chef was at Le Manoir & you can tell he is a master at his art.
The accommodation is exquisite & perfectly appointed - all in all one of the places to put on your list!
