After a hectic few days in Benidorm where we lived on fast food and booze we decided to make our last night special. We made our way into the old town on the hunt for tapas and Paella. We wandered down and around the streets and were eventually persuaded at 730 to enter “Tapas Y Vino”. There were seats outside but we were told they had a special table upstairs with windows that were open and so provided a welcome breeze. We sat ordered drinks and perused the menu. Having decided on what we wanted we had to chase the waiter in order to place the order, it was now 8! We ordered patatas bravas, alliolo and bread to start with and asked if we could have chicken and chorizo paella as three of our family have an intolerance to seafood , “Not a problem” we were told GREAT! We were told the paella would take 40 mins but hey we were having a wine and our starters would keep us going. The starters landed around 15 mins later and we tucked in. Both were tasty and freshly made but I wish they would have warned me that the bravas would melt cutlery due to the amount of chilly! So John I could hardly breath! Then we waited and waited...... then at 9.45 it was brought to our table, a magnificent dish of prawn, muscle paella!!!!! We explained that this wasn’t what we ordered but the waiter (English) didn’t care! Not prepared to wait we asked for the bill, to be honest I didn’t want to pay anything as we had been there wasting nearly three hours of our time waiting. The owner was the most horrible person who tried arguing with us instead of offering a solution!!! Guess what, KFC came to the rescue but not what we really wanted we really wanted to eat Spanish home cooking not American fast food!!!!!

Terrible terrible terrible service!! Had to ask to place order after being tempted in from street. Ordered paella for 4 people and was told 35 minute wait. Waited one and half hours and paella came it was the wrong one. Was told sorry They mixed up and we would have to wait again. Said we would have to leave, offered to pay half for the starters and wine as we had now wasted our evening. Manager then got extremely angry and abusive. Ruined the last night of our holiday.

Visited as a group of 7 with small child. Initially sat inside but a couple of griddle dishes were brought to other tables and the room filled with smoke, people all over started coughing. I had to take my two year old daughter for a walk down the street for some fresh air she was coughing that much. We moved to an outside table after that.
When the waiter took our order he was touting passers by and paying no attention. After a very long wait some of the tapas we ordered turned up. With 2 dishes missing as well as 5x main meals. We asked multiple times where the missing dishes were and the waiters just said “it’s coming” eventually my daughters meal arrived with two main meals. Asking where the other two meals were he responded “the chicken is always late”.
The quality of the food was brilliant but what could have been a superb family meal was ruined by horrendous service and delays. Hopefully I’ll never leave a restaurant that angry again. Ruined the last night of our holiday.

We eat here every year - loads of choice, lovely service (staff very patient that we don't speak Spanish) and the tapas is excellent. Great little location just away from the busiest stretch of tapas alley, still with bags of atmosphere in the evening.
