Excellent stay in a great position near the highest point of matera so views are fantastic . The rooms are excellent and they are cleaned to perfection . Breakfast is excellent as well . There is a roof terrace which unfortunately since it was windy we could not do dinner but it is fantastic with best views and the staff are outstanding so all up very good stay

Super place to stay. Rooms and location are just like as in paradise ( if it exits).
We had a very pleasant stay. The drink on the terrasse is just gorgeous and their restaurant on ground floor is really delicious. We have been driven by Marco into our food choices; he did all perfectly and with great profesionalism. We recommend !

A very good location if you have no mobility issues! We had a room overlooking the Matera "canyon". The room was however just under the terrace of the restaurant so rather loud although I had specifically asked for a quiet room. Breakfast was good but service rather disorganised. To go to breakfast there is no lift so it could be an issue for somebody with mobility issues. Same to get into the hotel: the hotel is not accessible by car. However the hotel will send you somebody to help you with luggage and also had given us good advise as where and how to access the parking lot. We did not like the restaurant: the music was way too loud, the food mediocre and the prices high. On the whole, I would rate this hotel as a mixed experience and too expensive for what it offers.
Although I didn't stay at the hotel, I highly recommend the Longe Bar for a few drinks. The terrace overlooks the Sassi in Matera as well as the hill opposite. We went each night for a pre dinner drink and Marco really looked after us. Thanks Marco!!

The quarry is perfect in every way. It is extremely centrally located. Right near the cathedral and the museum about the development of matera. I’ve forgotten the name.
It’s only a short walk to the main square and all the sights.
The view of the sassi from the restaurant at night is magical.
We ate in the restaurant and couldn’t fault the food or the service.
