Blurooms is ideally located off Corsa Italia, about a ten minute walk from the train station. Booking in was relatively simple, Gianluca was very polite and escorted us to our rooms and explained about the shower and Wifi. He gave us his business card and said to call him at any time if we needed his help. The rooms are basic but clean, the maid was very thorough. Ours overlooked the piazza, not too much noise apart from some young lads having a beer outside one night. They were gone by midnight so no big deal. If you are looking for a well placed guest house with clean basic rooms then give Blurooms a look.

We stayed here for one night while we were in transit to Rome. We had a very hard time trying to find reception. We walked into the hotel, and walked right up to the rooftop with no reception in sight! We had to ask the bar next door if they knew anything, they found the phone number on the front door and called for us. Be prepared to call the number as there is no onsite manager. After a few minutes, a lady showed up and opened a locked door, which was a very small office space. She took our info and we had to pay in advance for the night, she said it was "check-in and check-out". Our room was clean, the washroom looked modern as it was newly renovated. There was a safe in the room as well as a TV and free WiFi. It was centrally located and about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Overall is was good value for what we paid. We recommend it you're looking for a no frills and clean place to stay.

We stayed at Blurooms for 3 nights as a young couple from Australia. We will start by saying that the room was really nice - modern and clean and very spacious. Note that the bed is upstairs in a loft however. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean, with a big (and somewhat complicated) shower. Wifi worked perfectly. Location was perfect - right on the main street. A bit of a walk from the train station (as the hotel is on the other end of the main street) but it was only about a 10 minute walk. It was a little bit noisy at night with young people who hung out in the square opposite, but we didn't find it a problem.

Now for the interesting parts.. we emailed the hotel before our arrival to confirm our booking and let them know we were arriving at about 9pm and received no reply. We arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm unable to locate a reception area or any staff. We eventually found a bell for the reception, but there was no answer. We also phoned the hotel and got voicemail. We were sure that we were going to have to find another hotel to stay at for the evening. Eventually we asked the bar next door if they knew anything and they informed us that they would call the owner, who was at his bar around the corner. The owner came very soon after and was very apologetic and told us to come for beers at his bar after (we went there later and he gave us complimentary drinks and sat and chatted to us giving us advice about Sorrento, which was great). He gave us his mobile phone number which meant that we were able to contact him. We didn't see him at the hotel at all during our stay, which wasn't really a problem as we knew where to find him.

However, on the last day we were woken by the maid at 9am ringing the bell continuously to tell us that we had to check out by 10am so she could clean the room. Our booking, however, said check out was 10.30am, so we weren't prepared to be packed and ready to go by 10. We tried to explain to her that our check out was at 10.30, but she didn't speak English very well and just kept repeating "10am". When we were ready to check out, the hotel owner was nowhere to be seen so we couldn't check out. The maid came and told us to leave, and when we said we were waiting to check out, she told us to call the hotel owner (she wouldn't call him). We called the owner who told us to leave the key with her and to drop our bags off at the bar down the road for storage. It was a little bit strange to say the least.

Overall, we would say that this was a pleasant stay and we would recommend it, so long as you know what to expect re: reception.

Tip: Google where the "Manneken Pis" bar, which is the hotel owner's bar, so you can go there if you have problems checking in, otherwise go to the bar next door and get them to call the owner.

Cute and well decorated room, very comfortable bed, located in the heart of sorrento. The owner and the housekeeper were kind. Fair price. There weren't other services beyond the cleaning but it wasnt necessary, everything was very near (restaurants, bars, caffeteria, market, stores, just everything!) and the city is so cute that you would prefer to stay out anyway.
