The rooms are modest; however the food was very good, and the views are breathtaking with its own little beach to swim in. The beach included black sand, which you don't see that often. The location is great and very easy to grab a boat and visit Capri. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful sunny warm weather, back in May, 2017. The views of the ocean are spectacular; and even though we traveled with a small tour group throughout Italy, I honestly did not want to leave this place. If you are a person that loves the ocean, sand, and traveling to nearby places, like Capri, than this is the place for you. I hope we are fortunate enough to be able to travel back to this place and have time to see more of the Amalfi Coastline.

Room Tip: If you can afford to pay extra and get the ocean view, on a higher floor, it would be well worth the extra money.

i was in some hotels in amalfi coast, but this one is the best. the location perfect, the room are big, the balcony with sea view are wonderful and the staff (fabio and federica) are amazing!

the best thing in the hotel is the breakfast, good food with wonderful panorama!

Room Tip: take only the room with sea view

We stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived at around 1 pm on a Sunday. We found the hotel charming and staff were very pleasant, polite, knowledgeable with fluent English. We got a 2nd floor seaview room with balcony and 180 degree view of the sea. The room was spacious, bright, we have 3 full closets, well thought out bathroom layout, and it looked identical as the website. We were delighted. On the second day after breakfast, at a little after 8am, we heard on and off hammering noises from above, as we needed to catch the 9 O'clock shuttle to go out, I didn't bother to check the reason why. Unfortunately on our 3rd day, it rained quite heavily and we decided to stay in till noon and just do some shopping in town at Sorrento. As we headed back from the gym to our room around 10 am, there was continuous banging and drilling above our head. We then realized that they was renovation going on at the upper floors, it was so unbarable to stay in the room. Well, as predicted, the only solution was to move us down to -2 fl and they promised a seaview and a staff to help move our things. It was very annoying. After viewing the signicantly smaller, darker room with a balcony surrounded by high walls on both sides, we had no choice but to move as this was the only 'quieter room' available. As for the porter that helped us move, he was eager to help but he placed both our luggage upside down and around, then didn't even know how to pull the hangers off the rack form the closet, I had to do it myself. Worse was that we found out we also moved from having 3 closets to just half a closet! And for the rest of our 2 days, it just wasn't a pleasant stay in our room.
The question I have for the management is why would you put guests staying for four night in a room that you know will be hugely affected by renovation noises! And there was never anything anywhere mentioned that renovation is going on in the hotel. Was it because we booked through booking.com and not through an agent or direct from the hotel's website?
This hotel also takes in a lot of tour groups particularly from the U.S. so breakfast time can get a bit hectic and noisy. And running short of food on the buffet table.
Apart from all the unpleasant circumstances of our stay, the staff service is great, breakfast buffet offerings are adequate, they do have a shuttle to take to and back from town although it only runs once every hour.

Will I recommend this to my friends, probably not although I liked it a lot initially.

This place is just incredible - amazing views, stunning gardens, gorgeous food and most of all the friendliest staff ever. So much nicer than many of the 'famous' hotels in the centre of Sorrento - i literally don't think there is a better spot on the whole of the coast. Stylish, charming, totally relaxing with just the right amount of indulgence - one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at
