Travelling as a group of seven friends, all ready for fun, exploration and of course relaxation - we got the lot. From the moment we arrived at 5th Floor Reception, where we were warmly greeted, the service just got better and better. The staff were charming, friendly and could not do enough to help. The Amazing Franco, one of our concierges was brilliant. He provided us with huge amounts of local information and arranged a return journey courtesy cars to local restaurants (Donna Sofia a must) and organised our tour to take us along the Amalfi Coast before taking us back to Naples Airport. The views from the hotel are stunning, picture windows overlooking Mount Vesuvius. A wonderful pool on the roof with lots of sun loungers and a plunge pool on the main terrace where you can enjoy a cool drink and enjoy the stunning panoramic views. Pick up the local bus (tickets sold in reception) literally outside the hotel door into Sorrento Town Square or to the train station or port - for connections to Pompeii or Capri. The hotel has a whole array of local information. It was all very easy, but be warned the Taxis can be very expensive back and forth to the hotel (it's only a short but very steep walk back up the hill). If putting on your glad rags, take the last bus into Sorrento at 7.30pm and save your Euros for the return trip unless Franco has sourced a restaurant with courtesy transport. This Hotel was truly wonderful and we all enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: 7th Floor (as no one will be clattering above you)

I would give this hotel 5 stars just for the view ! But also the staff were very helpful and courteous. Our room was just lovely - the decor and the view. The food was good and we just loved Sorrento !

The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, breakfast and dinner both. Our room had an amazing view (3rd floor) and a wonderful bathroom (large tub that was needed from all of the walking.

My wife and I recently visited Sorrento and chose this location at the last minute. This was a very good decision! The view from the balcony was outstanding and it was like looking at the perfect post card. Everything about this hotel was a pleasant surprise from the unique qualities of the decor to the great staff and their genuine interest in making sure everything was to our satisfaction. During our first night, we were tired and decided to eat at the hotel. There we met Nino who provided top shelf service and great food! Unfortunately the next morning, my wife became ill with the flu and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure she had the best possible care. From providing great soup to lots of hot water for tea. Even one of the staff gave me a drive into town to pick up some medicine for her. Outstanding service!! Wayne and Agnes from Aurora Ontario Canada

Room Tip: From what I can tell, all rooms face the sea. We had room 502 and it had a spectacular balcony view of Sorrento and the sea.
