The restaurant was very atmospheric which is a great thing to experience.
Food was a bit hit and miss. We ordered two pasta dishes and they were very nice and authentic in terms of the way they prepare, BUT too salty. We also ordered the Neapolitan meatballs - I have to say it didn’t taste good because the texture was more starchy and not much taste or meat. To be fair maybe it’s not the fault of the restaurant but just the way this dish was supposed to be. For its food, in a word, I have been traveling in about 25-30 Italian towns or cities in recent years, and I only eat authentic local cuisines during my trips, this restaurant was just at mid range among all those I visited.
Services came as its least enjoyable part. At the beginning it had all the standard Italian services, in a good way but nothing surprising. However it took me 35 minutes just to get my bill and I asked 3 people but still got ignored. I tried to be nice but after asking 7 times, I had to stand in the middle of the restaurant to wait for it and they realized I lost patience.
