The location was hard to find for our two taxi drivers (we were in a party of six) but we got there eventually - if you are in a good hotel you might want to get them to book a hotel for you. The restaurant is away from the centre. But once we arrived everything was perfect. Decor is plain and there's no menu. We were told 25 Euros per head for meal or 30 Euros for meal with extra starter - cold crustaceans. We went for the 30 Euro option, and we found that this included wine, mineral water and limoncello and grappa and another liqueur afterwards. The food is amazing!!!! There was course after course, every course delicious, the fish really really fresh, the service excellent, the staff really friendly. Just writing about it makes me want to go back! If I go to Naples again (and I hope I will because I love Naples) I will definitely make a trip to Pescheria di Napoli.

after driving through an hour of traffic compounded by a metro strike, our expectations were sinking. But when they brought out the raw plate - oysters clams prawns and langoustines, memories of the bumper to bumper traffic faded fast

Bottom line : These guys know what they are doing - haven't had raw seafood this good outside Japan . Followed by a perfect vongole, shirasu on scamorza ... just excellent all around ... had a second plate of raw stuff to make sure I wasn't hallucinating and it was still perfect. Only two kinds of wine available : white or red - white was excellent.

Only issue: the bill - 25 euro per head for the set wound up being 90 for two adults and a 9 year old.... with no explanation ... so we had to negotiate back down to 70 including the extra raw plate ... the lesson: as with everything in Naples be prepared to negotiate! Taxi home also tried to " special fee " or on us ... slapped the amount on the meter in his hand and walked away .....

We ate here last saturday and had a great time! A good atmosphere and loads and loads of very good seafood. And when I say loads, I mean LOADS. Great value for money.
The staff was friendly too. A must-visit!

Despite the friendly customer service and almost endless amount of food / drink, none of the dishes were memorable enough to praise higher than average.

The best dish was the dessert (which sadly says it all) and the worst was a crab claw pasta which contained a measly amount of crab meat and every mouthful had to be taken cautiously, to avoid breaking your teeth on the various bits of broken crab shell.

We visited the restaurant after researching Tripadvisor and feel the quality of the seafood does not justify its high ranking.

It's also worth pointing out the format the food is served:
1. You pay a fixed price per head (25 euros each)
2. The price includes a set number of dishes (you do not get to choose)
3. The dishes are to share between those on the table (they're not per person)
4. The dishes include 2 cold starter plates and 1 hot, 2 hot pasta plates, 1 fried fish plate, finished with dessert.
5. Your drink is included in the price, (soft drinks, wine or bubbly)

Lastly the location and dining environment:
As Naples is such a big a city it's hard to say too much about the location as we don't know one end from the other, but we did find it by car / satnav and were able to park freely on the street nearby. At a guess we'd say it was a few Km's from anything central/touristy though.

The dining environment is poor. The tables / chairs are the cheap plastic kind, you might find by the beach, with paper table cloths that become soggy and tear if water is spilt on them. There's no indoor seating and no heating outside either, so if it's a chilly evening, wrap up warm as it can get very cold! There's also very little space and the restaurant can get very busy so be prepared to be shunted about mid meal to fit others in.
