Briefly: very poorly organized and over prized tour. Stay away!

We went to their vesuvio trip as they told that pompei was closed for a couple of hours and the trip would take two hours. They sold the trip with a promise of a guided tour.

Trip started 10 min late. Not a big deal. There wasn't seats for as in the van, illeagal ! First van dropped us at another office of the company and soon another picked us up. The second van drove around the city for a good half an hour. It also went to the office where we started our journey with the first bus. When we finally arrived at the vesuvio, we were told that the pickup is after 45 minutes. It took us 20 min to walk up. The guided tour starts every 15 minutes and takes 15-20 minutes. This leaves as only 5 minutes to walk back even if the tour happens to start just when we reach the top. We could not take the tour as there was no time.

The van back to pompei was half an hour late. It dropped us at the highway intersection and told us to wait another car to drive us (10 people) back to pompei. We went to the first car, and the rest were left behind. Entire trip took 4,5 hours instead of 2.

While we didn't do a tour with an actual person, but we did get an audio guide around Pompeii from Pompei Service Tours. It was the only real information we were given about the ruins while we were in there. The guide book we got with the tickets from the ticket booth was hard to follow, so we were happy to have the audio guides. They also let us store our bags there. The man who helped us was so accommodating.

Moving towards the archaeological area of Pompei you ll be certanly approached by one of theyr opearators, as they literally patrol the area around and press whoever is passing trying to capture your attention.
You can even easly disguise them as an official info point tour for the "i" they show
BUT THEY ARE NOT. It is just one very "proactive" private tour operator who will try to sell you everything, no matter the way.
Don't believe one word they will say, save your money and go ahead couple of steps beyond to the official Archaeological area's ticket office.

We tried their Mt Vesuvious tour. We were not informed in advance that the entrance gate to the top could be closed due to the weather. It was so windy there and even snowing a little. The gate was closed. I think they had a way to know about this. Bad luck. Another thing, this is bothering me a lot, the lady in Pompeii office said that Herculaneum is far away from the nearest train station, it takes 30 minutes walk. She was trying to sell us the tour for that. I found out later that the ruin is just 10 minutes walk from the nearby train station.

We decided to go up Vesuvius with these guys instead of from Herculaneum as we were already in Pompeii. They took us up (there were no seat belts) and there had been an accident that caused the road up to be closed, so we stopped and waited for it to clear. After maybe 20mins the driver began to take us back down, when he got a call from his boss telling us to stay.

We waited there in the heat for what seemed like forever and even if the road was cleared we wouldn't have had enough time at the top. When we finally got down and asked for a refund they were uncoopertaive and said we could only take a replacement tour tomorrow. A lot of arguing later, we finally got our refund.

NOT RECOMMENDED - go with Vesuvio Express from Herculanium instead.
