@ English: Great location (pleasant surroundings) with a good public transport. (Tram nr. 8.) Nice staff, big, cozy and clean rooms, simply equipped kitchen. We had a big terrace too. :) Breakfast was also adequate. (+capsule coffee mashine) In front of the building there are some store, and loundry. Everything was total ok, I can really recommend it!

@ Hungarian: kiváló elhelyezkedés, kellemes környék, jó közlekedés (8-as villamos a ház előtt).

Hello there

We visited Rome at the beginning of this month and we stayed at Il Cuore di Roma B&B. Before reserving the room, we checked some reviews and this helped us to take a decision, that s why we decided to write our own review after 5 days as guests there.

I stayed at this B&B with my husband in may and we can say it was a perfect place to stay in Rome. You can arrive very quiqly at this B&B from the airport, with the train, like 30 minutes. Trastevere train station is a 3 minute walking distance from the B&B.

The owner was very kind, he gave us some helpful advices about good places to eat and about city transportation. Our room was very big, with a relaxing double bed, a nice window and a shared terrace outside. The room was very romantic, with white and red bedding, candles and little heart chocolate waiting for us on the pillow in the first night. We also had cosy robes for showering and shower products. The wi-fi access is free and has a very good signal. The place is exactly as in pictures and gives you the feeling that you are in a familiar and cosy place. The owners are very careful with the details, we loved that.

Breakfast: the breakfast was Ok, we had coffee and lot of packets of Italian pastries, beside that, in the fridge we could find milk, butter, fresh juices, jam, cereals, yogurt and even nutella. :)The kitchen was fully gifted.

There wasn’t any problem with the bathroom (we had the shared one). It was very clean.

The area is fantastic, Trastevere has many shops, restaurants and bars and the prices are very good. With the tram nr. 8 you can get to Piazza Venezia very fast and from there anywhere around Rome.

We definitely recommend this place!

If we will visit Rome again (we couldn’t throw a coin in Fontana di Trevi, because was close during that period) we will chose to stay again in this lovely place.

I stayed for a night in this B&B with some friends while we were studying abroad. We chose it because it was close to the train station and we could walk there easily with our luggage. At first it seemed sketchy because it's in an apartment building where other people live- the owners turned one of the apartments into several rooms for a B&B. Everything was nice and clean, except there was only one bathroom for all the rooms to share which was weird and the towels they gave us to use for the shower were tiny. Also, it was NOT in the heart of Rome. We got onto the train for 1 Euro and that took us to the Vatican or the main train station if we went the other way, both which led into the heart of Rome. In our situation it worked out okay because it was cheap and we could easily get into Rome where we wanted to be, but I don't think I would stay here again if I came back to Rome because I would want somewhere closer to the "heart of Rome" Also, they asked us to pay them cash the minute we got there, which was fine, I understand they don't want us to sneak off the next day without paying, but Im glad we happened to have alot of cash on us! They also said we could keep our luggage there, but in the morning they were nowhere to be seen and we weren't sure if we should leave it or not and if we should take our keys or not. We ended up keeping our keys and leaving our bags there(with a note, they spoke good enough English), which ended up not being a problem.

Despite its name (b&b The Heart of Rome) this place is nowhere near the heart of the city. It is at the very end of Trastevere, far from the nightlife and the bohemien atmosphere of this area of the eternal city (3 tram stops away, to be honest).
It is on the second floor of an anonymous building dating back to the fascist era which is not so easy to find: via Parini is a uphill street departing from viale di Trastevere (there is a restaurant/pizzeria with a green sign at the beginning of the street facing the viale which we used as a landmark). Being on a side street does have a plus: it ensures a sleep free of traffic noises. The neighborhood seemed quite safe to us, no beggars around. There are shops, a pharmacy, several bars and pizza shops within a few steps from the b&b and  Porta Portese market is also nearby (Sundays only).
Both the train station and tram/bus stops are close by (15 minutes to reach largo Argentina with tram 8, 2o mins to the Colosseo with bus 3 and 35 minutes to Termini station with bus 170).
Room furniture has been recently renovated (all Ikea). Doors however are still old and squeaking and so are the heavy wooden roller shutters. The rooms are huge and minimal. However to name them "suites" , as the website says, is misleading as furniture and services offered are quite basic. There is a flat screen TV and air-conditioning, but these are the only amenties you can have. The housekeeper (apparently the wife of the owner, but we never managed to see her) has an easy job at this b&b: the bed was not made up at all during the 3 nights we stayed there, dustbin was not emptied, floor was not vacuum cleaned. Also the cleanliness of the  2 bathrooms is unacceptable: floors needed a good mop not to speak about the shower covered with  limescale and dust. If you don't want to mop the floor, do not cover it with white tiles! The b&b provides each guest with a bathrobe and one towel only. There is not a single hanger in the room, so you don't know where to place them to dry.  Besides bathrooms have a weird shape and are not very efficient (to access the smallest one you have to climb a step).
The b&b has a kitchen, so you can help yourself at any time of the day to tea or coffee. Breakfast is good for Italian standards but there are no fresh items. Pastries and bread are packaged, milk is UHT.
Cleanliness was definitely an issue for us, so I'd never return to this place.
