Owner description: Certainly the most famous and photographed fountain in Rome, legend has it that whoever throws a coin into the pond will return to Rome.

Throw three coins in the fountain and make a wish. Avoid being hassled by the hawkers and pick pockets. Keep your wallet and purse close. But the visit to the Trevi is a must on every visit. Trevi

Arrived using the Hop On Hop Off Bus and walked down the side street to find hundreds of people all vying for a place to see the fountain. Strictly controlled by the local police. There was no chance of us getting close, but found ourselves up against a low wall about 50cm high which along with other people allowed us to stand on and get a viewing of the fountain over everyone else. Obviously need to get there very early in the morning if you want to get really close, but we were happy with what we saw and photographed.

Great iconic place to see in Rome. Go early for less of a crowd. You can’t go to Rome without stopping here.

We went at 7pm on a weeknight. Pretty crowded. It is amazing and the fountain itself is clean, but there was garbage everywhere. This is an issue all over the city but it was kind of sad to see all of the litter around such a beautiful site.

We walked past the Trevi Fountain at night after enjoying a sunset view at the top of the Spanish Steps. It is beautiful when lighted up at night but there is a big crowd. It was a nice stop on our way back to the hotel. Everyone still likes to throw coins into the fountain, so bring some change with you.
