We took pot luck in choosing a hotel in Rome and were not disappointed. A lovely, clean room with everything you needed for a three night stay. Located on Via Nationale, it was central for seeing the sights with a taxi rank just over the road as well as bus stops.
In the vicinity were bars, restaurants, shops and lots more. The continental breakfast at the hotel was very good with a range of items including coffees, teas, juices, cheese, ham, pastries, yogurts, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, and bread rolls.
The lounge area was comfortable with a Far Eastern touch reflected by the furniture and ornaments/trinkets. We found it cool and calming.
On the down side, the lift was a bit of a tight squeeze, but I suppose was part of the olde worlde charm and ambience of the building.
Staff were generally helpful and obliging, although some had very limited English.More
