I went to Italy for 12 days and the last 3 days we stayed at Hotel Trevi. When checking in our concierge John Franco was extremely rude. We were put in a separate building without an elevator and we were on the TOP floor. Let me tell you 5 flights of stairs after walking around Rome all day long was horrible. The only reason I’m giving this hotel a 2 is because one of the staff did carry all 4 of our bags up the stairs for us which was greatly appreciated and our room was quite spacious. The terrace in the main building was only open for breakfast which was very disappointing and the breakfast was not good. When we would go to the lobby if we needed change or to ask a question about confirming our transfers John Franco would just sigh and give attitude. He was not pleasant. And lastly at the end of our stay we needed to pay our city tax which was $8 a day and was listed all over the hotel that you could pay this with cash or card but when we went to pay they insisted that they would only accept cash. We found that very odd especially since it was posted all over the place that they accepted card payments. The location of this hotel was great but I highly recommend you stay somewhere else unless you enjoy walking up 100 stairs multiple times a day.

What a perfect and pleasant stay in Rome. The hotel is so close to the fountain and walking distance to the metro and many other attractions. Friendly and efficient staff and the room was lovely. Absolutely recommend staying here. And I will be back myself in the future!!

Stayed at this place a couple of weeks ago.

Hotel is adequate - nothing special for what we paid.

Thieves are operating in this hotel. Friend had bag with personal belongings stolen whilst in breakfast room from back of her chair. Significant amount of money, phone etc in the bag.

Went to management for help and refused any help from them point blank - would not call police as they said this would impact negatively on the hotel reputation ! Very unhelpful, dismissive and rude.

Food in this place distinctly average.

If you have other options use them and avoid this place.

The location of this hotel is brilliant - a 30 second walk from the Trevi Fountain. Other than that, not much else was great.

We checked in and were taken to an apartment block a few minutes walk away around the corner, and then up to the 5th floor. There was no lift. The room was a little dirty, it needed hoovering but unsurprisingly I guess the cleaners don't want to lug a hoover up 5 flights of stairs and I don't blame them. There were hairs in the bathroom and it looked like it needed a good clean. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street below which was nice.

The breakfast was ok but very cramped. As the hotel has purchased the apartment blocks like the one we stayed in, I don't think they've increased the space for breakfast so it is very very cramped. Other than that it was fine.

If location is your thing then this is probably a good hotel, particularly for the price. However I won't be staying again and I'd probably recommend elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel (not the apartment blocks)
