Owner description: The Roman Guy is a tour company that offers walking, driving, bike and food tours in Italy. We pride ourselves on our ability to bypass lines and enter museums in exclusive ways. We are an educated and fun team that loves Italy and enjoys working in tourism. Our team of tour guides and staff are Italian & American, but all speak amazing English. We have tours available in Rome, Florence and Venice. We also offer a number of day trips including Amalfi, Pompeii, Chiantii Hills and Pisa.

Our tour guide Christina was amazing! She was so passionate and knowledgeable. It was a highlight of our time in Rome. We even managed to do it with our 10 month old in a baby carrier, a bit expensive in that respect (you still have to pay for a baby under 1) but despite that skipping the lines and having such an amazing guide made up for it. Highly reccomend.

First and foremost, THE HEADPHONES ARE GREAT!! Look I have done a few tours and they give you headphones to hear the tour guide.. but other companies give you in ear headphones and they Suck and they hurt. The Roman guy gives you outer ear headphones so they just rest on your ear.

I wish I remembered my tour guides name but I forgot. The gentleman for the colosseum was great. He said he studied Roman history in college and it showed. The group's weren't huge. I did a group with another tour agency in Venice, Roman guy was all booked, and it was too much. These guys knew what to do and it was great. I recommend getting the 730 early Vatican tour. It's less crowded when you walk through the Sistine chapel, you'll thank me for that advice because late in the tour you have to go back through it to get to the other side and holy crap (pun kinda intended) it's packed. All in all, the Roman Guy/girl are great. It makes walking through history more enjoyable hearing someone tell you the history instead of reading a piece of paper or assuming what something was.

Ciao Brenton! Grazie for your review and feedback! We're glad to hear the headphones are comfortable and great! I had a quick look, and your guide for the Colosseum tour was Niccolo and for the Vatican it was Raffa. We are all about making history more fun and enjoyable and it's definitely a more interactive way of experiencing these incredible sights. We hope you had a great vacation in the Eternal City and hope to welcome you back to Italy in the future!

Do not use anyone else but The Roman Guy!!! The tours were fantastic and the guides were extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter. Ask for Loretta for the tour of the Vatican! Ask for Daniel for the Florence Food Tour (GREAT!).
