The location couldn't be better with major sights within walking distance: Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, Spanish steps. Super clean rooms and bathrooms with a wonderful breakfast served in the small dining area. I stayed with a friend over 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. They arranged an airport transfer for us (at additonal cost) which was super handy given odd hours of flights. The location couldn't be better and we found it great value for money. Would definitely stay there again!

Very difficult to find with no obvious signage! Nice enough staff and breakfast was served by a lovely girl, the usual breakfast was served and the area was small but did have an outside terrace if you wished to use it! We had the room with twin beds and the bathroom outside, bedroom had twin beds, wardrobe, tv with sky, desk with chair, kettle etc provided which was a nice touch. The room was plenty big enough and had steps going up to the window, which opened up onto the main road but was not too noisy. The bathroom outside of our room could have been so much better though, it was basic and very dirty with fungus...some anti fungus spray and a good scrub would bring it to an acceptable standard and although the bathroom is small but is functional...but the CLEANING IS A MUST!!!!! Hotel is a short walk away from the metro line which is Barberini.

The Trevi Fountain Guesthouse is an excellent value. Perfect location right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of most of the historical sites. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the Pantheon and 20 minutes to the Colosseum. The Trevi Fountain Guesthouse is simple, so don't expect a regular hotel lobby and many bells and whistles. Our room was simple, but we were looking for a convenient location and a great price, not luxury. The staff is amazing. One of the managers, Marco, texted me a few days before check in to touch base with me since our flight didn't get in until 11pm. The airline ended up losing one of our bags, so we didn't get to the guesthouse until midnight, but Marco happily stayed up for us and greeted us with a smile. The next day he even called the airline for us to help us get our bag back. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, clean, and decent breakfast. The negatives: my mom and I needed twin beds so we had the room with the bathroom outside in the reception area. We were assured that nobody had a key to our bathroom. However, there was no working lock on the door. Pee and shower at your own risk and I'm sure staff and others used our "private" bathroom. The worst: checkout was 11am on Sunday. We headed to Spanish Steps at 10am and the lady at reception was beyond rude and nasty and wanted us to check out immediately because it was Sunday. I pointed to the sign on the desk that stated checkout at 11:am. She gave us a nasty ok but obviously wanted us out immediately. We offered to leave our bags outside the room but she wouldn't have it. Ironically, we got back at 10:45 and left. She was still cleaning other rooms. Her poor attitude was for nothing. This was our only rude experience in Italy...went to Florence, Venice, Naples, Amalie coast. This is a nice lodging option, but this employee will hurt the hotel's reputation if she continues.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate our guests opinion, as they help us improbe our services. We are happy you enjoyed staying with and sorry about what happened when checking out. All our employees are welcoming and nice, as you can see in the other reviews. Unfortunately anyone can have a bad day, which although inconvenient, can happen. I assure you that this matter has been taken care of.
As for the separate bathroom, I understand is not ideal, but that's way we clearly state it in the room description to avoid surprises at checkin. I can not accept, though, your assumption that other people (including our staff) were using the bathroom, this is false and would be very unprofessional from us. The lock on the door works fine, but you could have reported your difficulty during your 3 days long stay and we'd have helped making you feel more comfortable. Your were the only one with the keys hence nobody else could have used that bathroom. Also, all other rooms are ensuite so no guest would have needed to use you bathroom. We invite you to come and visit one of our properties again, Best Regards, Marco
