Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Lodi where they produce their own (divine) wine. Located in Lodi near a laundromat, restaurant and subway stop (once the green line is complete it will be awesome!). The staff made our stay so special and the free breakfast was delicious. A big thank you to Kumar and Ali for being helpful, welcoming and sharing wine! Miss the Lodi team and would love to go back sometime soon :)

I never experienced such a warm welcome at a hostel before. The staff can and will help you with useful information concerning everything about your stay in Rome. There is a lovely garden to hang out during the day or at night. The guests were also really nice.

Hotel Lodi is exactly as a hostel should be.. It's cheap, fairly well located and the guy that runs it (Ali) is an absolute legend!!

Don't come expecting anything more and u won't be disappointed, it's by no means 5* luxury but it's practical and for the money it's better than u would expect for Rome!

You get breakfast in the price which includes tea/coffee, a glass of real nice orange juice and a selection of pastrys filled with enough Nutella to feeds an entire African nation.. It's nice, simple and sets u up for the morning!

The main attraction is th guy that runs it.. Ali is definitely a legend and I don't think there is a more in depth guide for Rome available that cuts out all the crap! He literally makes I an itinerary on arrival using the street maps on his desk and it's worth it even just to listen to him..

He has a foreign note collection behind the front desk and we gave him an Irish (sterling) fiver and it was like a child on Christmas morning! So if u do stay and he doesn't have ur currency don't be miserable!!

Convenient location and clean room aside, it's the caring, friendly and dedicated staff that made all the difference. My parents and I spent 5 nights there in October 2015. I felt our enjoying Rome was truly treated as their priority. All questions were answered with a lot more information I expected including useful tips and things to watch for. I received suggestions on not only Rome but the following destinations of our trip. It was such a pleasant experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Customer service beyond our expectations.
They must have recognised as we staggered through the door tired and hot after a long journey to Rome that we were in need of help! We were offered cold drinks before we had even checked in! Then Rome was explained and between us we had worked out an itinerary for our few short days in Rome, and a shortlist of the best places to eat, and a quick guide to the transport system.
When we left we realised that we had not had to ask for anything - it was anticipated and offered by the team at Lodi. A rare level of service in any country and at any price band.
