I have to say that the dishes served in this restaurant were next level. I had the spaghetti carbonara twice, it was the best food I tasted my entire life. Friend went for the fried seafood- he was absolutely pleased as well. As a dessert - pistachio cake. Top notch. In case I ever return to Rome again, I will be stopping by definitely. I recommend you do the same.

Well beyond the tourist areas, this is an authentic neighborhood restaurant that caters to locals but is welcoming to travelers. They clearly specialize in pizzas and calzones, with over half of the menu devoted to them. We had pastas and meats and they were exquisite; perfectly cooked and seasoned. Most people around us had the pizzas which all had large crusts, nearly an inch beyond the toppings and rather thick along the edges, more so than the typical Roman pizza. Go for the pastas and the pork. The service was friendly and attentive. There was a large group of 20+ but the wait staff did not neglect the two of us. The prices are amazing. Full three course dinner for two with a bottle of wine and lemoncello after came to only 77 Euros.

We ate here when staying at the Waldorf Astoria. It's a short walk away but is frequented by locals with a small number of like minded hotel guests. The food was really good, including a Caprese salad for starter than could have passed as an exceptional main. If you are nearby, it's worth seeking out.

What a great find!
We were staying at the nearby Waldorf hotel but wanted to eat some cheap & cheerful "local" food. We came here and weren't disappointed!
Only a 10 minute walk from the hotel, the restaurant is clean and tidy and, as we'd hoped, already had a few locals dining there. The menu consists of steaks, pasta and pizza, all of which sounded delicious. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the waiter was super-helpful, went through the menu with us (even though it was in English) and took the time to recommend some dishes and we both chose pizzas which were excellent. The house wine was also very good and in total, the meal for 2 with beer and wine came to just under 40 Euro. Well worth every cent!
It's not plush and it's not upmarket but if you want great food, good wine and prompt service, this is the place to come to. We're looking forward to our next visit!
