Visited in a party of four for a 60th birthday.
We were the only people in the whole restaurant so no atmosphere it was 8.30pm.
Felt very uneasy as to why is was so empty on a Friday night.
Waiter showed us to our table and then said Champagne!
Having not even looked at the menu at this stage we thought this must be complimentary as we have not
asked for it and though what a lovely touch.
We found out later in the evening we were charged 18 Euros a glass.
Food was ok but not spectacular - with no atmosphere at all.
During our stay we ate a lot better places at half the price.

We loved this restaurant so much we had lunch twice and dinner once. We were treated like regulars our second time there and given our favorite table each time. Our servers were friendly and professional and we never experienced anything but the best seafood with a lovely presentation for every course.

Literally a stone throw away, facing off with the Pantheon, La Rosetta is by the standards of many, a beacon of true blue seafood in Rome. We were blown away by the dishes recommended by the suave senior waiter who, with the eyes of a hawk, was flawlessly conducting the front of house. We could sit outside since it was a cool evening but opted to stay in for the warm ambiance. The tables were set apart and the hum of the restaurant was assuring. The man in a chef uniform, also the owner we were told, was out to win his guests as though his excellent culinary skills were not enough. What impressed us the most was that endless litany of recipes masterly configured from essentially a simple list of super fresh ingredients namely .. fish, clams, mussels, squids, octopus, prawns, shrimps, langoustines, lobsters with the exception of crabs!? I loved the broth the Seafood Salad bathed in and was told the secret ingredient was "sea water" .. now, why didn't I think of that? The Mini Fritto Misto was out of this world but the Special Seafood Soup was breathtakingly delicious. The only negative .. hence a Very Good vs an Excellent rating .. was the Amuse Bouche. It was a generous gesture of welcome but it lacked the finesse of the dishes on the menu. Tonight the trio were : deep fried mussel (cold and soggy) gazpacho (not cold enough) and fish croquette (thick crust and way under seasoned) .. this not so impressive round did make first-timers like us wonder, what is next? The restaurant has an impressive wine list and should just let patrons savor them while they wait. BTW instead of wines we were introduced to a wonderful local beer by the odd name of Birrificio 18.80 which is a must try. Dinner for the two of us, with a bottle of sparkling water and a 750ml beer was E200 excluding tips ie E220 was the damage. It was not cheap but definitely good value for money.

Nice food but pushy service and getting a little tired. Have visited previously for lunch and had a good experience. The food was good we had oysters and then fish and squid.

One waiter, he claimed to be the sommelier but was doing more, in particular was awfully pushy. It put us off a little from the start

The food is exquisite. This is probably the best seafood restaurant in Rome.

You are very well taken care of at La Rosetta. The staff is well trained and provide great service (without rudely interrupting as happens in so many establishments).

18 years ago I ate here and was impressed. So I came back in July 2017. It was even better than I remembered.

Every dish was perfectly prepared.
