La Rosetta is a small restaurant close to the Pantheon. It specialises in serving seafood of the highest order and freshest quality. The chef's focus is on the ingredients, so mostly the dishes are simply cooked and beautifully presented.

The wine list is comprehensive and the sommelier will guide you through.

The room is quietly luxurious and there is also an outdoor dining area on the street.

The owner is gregarious, knowledgeable and helpful in his recommendations. His service staff are expert, efficient and approachable.

In summary, this is fine dining in Rome of a very high standard. You can expect a beautiful night out knowing you're in expert hands.

Went on a Wednesday night and this place was packed! You know that is a good sign and it was mostly locals, only a few foreign foreigners. We started out with a great bottle of Champagne (Krug), as this was a splurge meal. We were seated at a very nice table where we had a view of the entire main room. We started with the seafood platter, it was one of the better ones I have had recently. There was definitely enough food for the two of us, it included, scallops, shrimp, oysters and clams. We then had the fried zucchini blossoms and they were fantastic. Followed by lobster linguini, this dish was very well sized for the price with alot of lobster in it, they certainly didn't skimp on the lobster. This was an amazing dish, both of us were extremely happy and satisfied after this course. Then back out into the lovely Roman night to continue getting to know this fantastic city.

La Rosetta is downright fabulous. The food, the wine and service were all absolutely superb on a quiet Tuesday night in Rome. I do not understand the comments about pricing from some reviewers. Yes we paid E600 for a party of 4 and we all had the huge hot and cold seafood antipasti, then each had an amazing squid, spelt pasta and ricotta pasta dish, then 3 of us shared a whole sea bream in salt crust and the other had steak and then shared 2 dessert plates. And 3 bottles of wine and waters. All in all for anyone who travels internationally that is more than a reasonable price. The seafood was incredibly fresh, modern and tasty. We spend a month in Italy every year and there are not that many better places at half the price as some reviewers claim. I would recommend this restaurant to any discerning diners.

Visited in a party of four for a 60th birthday.
We were the only people in the whole restaurant so no atmosphere it was 8.30pm.
Felt very uneasy as to why is was so empty on a Friday night.
Waiter showed us to our table and then said Champagne!
Having not even looked at the menu at this stage we thought this must be complimentary as we have not
asked for it and though what a lovely touch.
We found out later in the evening we were charged 18 Euros a glass.
Food was ok but not spectacular - with no atmosphere at all.
During our stay we ate a lot better places at half the price.
