A nice 7-room inn, on the third floor of a large building right across from the Two Towers.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of Bologna’s nicest area.
The two rooms facing the street have nice views, but are very noisy, with traffic (heavy buses, motorbikes) and people yelling and screaming at night. Closing the windows will help some, but then the room may quickly get too hot, with only a fan and no AC.
The other rooms, in the back, are quiet, but have no view.
Some rooms have a private bathroom, some others share two bathrooms down the hall.
Breakfast is modest but satisfactory.
The staff is friendly and helpfull.
The building has a elevator.

In my view you could not get better accommodation, location and value in the town. Check in manned 24 hours by friendly staff. The room was excellent and the beakfast was all that was needed. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

I've never stayed at a two-star hotel before, so I was a bit wary, but little choice since it was a last minute thing. Long story short, Albergo Garisenda was nothing short of brilliant. It is right in the heart of central Bologna, all the great restaurants, shops and tourist attractions are very close by. The hotel itself was very clean, the breakfast humble but good, and the receptionists extremely helpful. There is no air-conditioning, just a ceiling fan and a big window, though we were not bothered by that. However, with the window open, there was a lot of noise coming in through the street (to be expected, you don't get a direct view of the two towers without having to compromise on something. The bed was big, but not the most comfortable. Otherwise, it was excellent. Just don't go to Impero Cafe closeby. I was robbed, and the staff were annoyed that I was asking for their help, and did nothing.

This is a small hotel very close to all amenities , it is immaculately clean and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful , lovely breakfast room with fresh coffees made to order . Very reasonable prices , nice room which was a good size with high ceilings and comfortable bed . No hesitation in recommending

Room Tip: We had room 101 which was large with en suite facilities

Great location close to the two towers, and about five minutes from the main square, Piazza Maggiore and the Neptune fountain on Piazza del Nettuno.

Clean room, comfortable enough, but enthusiastic cat-swingers may feel a little constrained. I had a view into the courtyard which was not particularly picturesque, so if what's outside the window matters, ask for a room with a front view.

The shared bathroom and lavatory was just along the corridor from my room so it was close enough for a quick dash, either with or without pyjamas.

Basic breakfast is included and there is a small bar, which seems to be opened on request so ideal for a nightcap, but there are plenty of cafes and bars close to the hotel for alternatives.
