The church of St. Catherine seems to be a bot outside of the centre, but in fact it is 10-15 min easy walking distance.When we got there we had a feeling that we are back in medevial centuries entering beautiful church full of mistery. Look for signs on left side and go toward the chapel. The doors are closed. Have to ring and wait for opening. The chapel contains a mummy of St. Catherine and it is design and decorations are just superior. Do everything possible not to miss it. Check opening hours as at midday the church is closed.

The church is so pretty and calling into see St. Catherine is a must. A little bothering that they do not have information in English but you cannot have everything. Very quaint church and lovely to see her resting place.

The church Corpus Domini is beautiful. But the real best is the Cappella della Santa inside of it as it contains a mummy. It is only open Tue to Thu and Sat/Sun from 9:30 to 11:30 and 16 to 17:45. Fotos are normally not allowed inside of the chapel. Free attraction well worth visiting.

Drawn to relics in ancient cathedrals and churches, I'd read ahead about Corpus Domini and made a special trip to see Santa Katarina's full body relic. We were greeted by a beggar at the door who informed us the chapel holding the relic was closed, we went inside anyway, the beggar followed us in and sure enough it was closed. We gave him some crackers for his trouble and took the time to inspect the rest of the lovely church. It is a gem of art and sculpture and a respite from the world in which to take in a few minutes of peace whether you are of the religion or not.
