Wonderful hotel, ignore all the comments about it being old or run down and shabby; its got a classical charming feel to it. Thermal pool was lovely but the smell is a bit overpowering after a while, especially if your room and balcony is directly above it!
Breakfast is just perfect and full of variety.
Wouldn't hesitate to come back again. Maybe not in the same league as some new 5* places but certainly the best hotel in the area.
Sirmione has a lot to offer and some lovely walks and places to visit nearby

We loved the Grand Hotel Terme. It's in an amazing location right next to the castle in Sirmione. The swimming pool is fab. It is lovely and warm, so even on a cool evening it was still beautiful having a swim. The food in the restaurant was beautiful whether it be for breakfast or dinner. Drinks in the hotel were pricey but the service was amazing. As you are right beside the town its easy to pop in there for a meal or drink in the numerous restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a beautiful room with a balcony looking out over the pool and the lake, where we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon.

We stayed here half board straight after our wedding in October and had an amazing time
Fantastic location sitting right on the Lake and only a very short walk in to the town
Can't fault the staff and the food each night was of an incredibly high quality. We enjoyed our short break so much that we've already booked to go back for our first anniversary!

This hotel is in the best location in Sirmione. It is however very expensive and during the high season there are thousands of tourists swarming by the front gates on the way to the old town. Eating meals here is fantastic with great views of the lakes from your table. The rooms themselves are old world, no mod cons here. Also the bar is something of a traditional sort so may not suit everyone.

Room Tip: ask for lake view

I stayed at this hotel in June 2015, and had a fantastic time. The hotel, which is close to the old medieval city, offers free parking outside within a secure compound. During my stay, there was a nice variety of sports cars outside the front, which is a nice added-bonus for both the family and the motor enthusiasts among you. The lobby is spacious and the receptionists friendly. The hotel is also a modern natural thermal spa, and I huge recommend making use of the facilities; The sulfur pool and hot tub in particular. The pool is outside and on the lake side. There are deckchairs lining both the pool and the lake. The lake, even in the summer, is very cold. The downstairs spa offers cleansing massages, and a variety of showers. The hotel also has a gym, which features standard exercise equipment. There is a restaurant inside the hotel, however, to spend all your meals there would be foolish, as the old town has many fantastic restaurants and cafes to offer.

The rooms are very luxurious and offer spacious storage for both bags and clothing. The hotel is on the tip of a peninsula, and so there is good views across Lake Garda for the majority of the rooms!

Overall: A beautiful hotel, located walking distance from the walled city, with a real sense of luxury.
