Arrived in Milan monsoon season and after a brief walk round the block we plumped for this little place - and were very impressed . Enjoyed fish and pasta and very well priced wine - genial host looked after us well and we would recommend to any visitors to this part of Milan - price of our total meal for 3 was just over 100 euros so good value too .

Sapori Solari is a small, cozy and friendly place full of the best salumi (cured meats) and cheeses you can find in Italy. Let the host guide you in a journey through the flavors of Italy, till you ask him to stop.
The place is very small, so it's better to reserve a seat in advance.
If you like eating, you can't miss Sapori Solari.

Just imagine. Milan a complete desert, hit by pouring rain. I and my partner booked a table in this popular and usually complete place. We arrived and ... surprise! It was just us and Giuseppe, the owner of the place and gourmand. We had the honour of receiving detailed explanation of each delicatessen he served. He chooses very accurately each food he serves. Just ask for a 'free tasting' and you'll be amazed by the exceptional dishes he will compose for you. Because at Sapori solari you are the menu!! Giuseppe will surprise you with incredible combinations of flavours put together on the basis of the impression and inspiration you give in that moment. Wine, an incredibly simple complexion. Just go and cross fingers it will rain in Milan!

This was our 3rd time eating at Saporisolari and it was just as amazing as the first time! This time we were a party of 6 so we took the big table on the right. This place is super small but it is SO charming. If your the type that can go with the flow you will have an incredible experience. There are no menus, Giuseppe just brings the food to you...and note this is a meat/cheese place....you won't find a traditionally cooked meal here, but do not let that detour you, and also don't think for a second that you will leave hungry...its impossible. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch! This place is a must in you are in Milan, a truly unique dining experience.

A small room with a deli serving bench and 4-5 bar-size tables, squeezed among a wealth of pseudo-countrylife memorabilia. You get to sit on stools that are ok for a quicker bite than what you get.

A very enthusiastic manager entertains you with heartfelt descriptions of cold cuts and cheeses he will then serve. We tried three plates of what he suggested, each with few slices of three items, starting with water buffalo ricotta and a kind of raw cured beef, going on with salami, coppa, goose bresaola and goose smoked ham, to end with combined slices of "pata negra" Spanish pork lard and cured pork filet, seasoned with honey.

Out of those 8 items we liked two very much, the others being OK. With some bread and water, we ended up paying 20 Euros per person. We consider this a reasonable price for a somewhat interesting meal in very small quantities. Had we been in our twenties or thirties, we would have walked straight to the nearest trattoria for a real lunch.

Many will enjoy the settings, senior people or anybody wishing to dine comfortably will find stools awkward.
