If you have been travelling a long time and are cramped by hotel rooms, this one will make you feel at home. Large room, large bath! Enormous breakfast offerings. Competent staff. The most expensive place we stayed but that is Milan. The cute charmer in Venice was less. The best part is that you can walk to Duomo, la Scala, Castello Sforza, and Vittorio Emmanuelle.

Since I found this hotel to be pretty standard, I will just share the basics of why:

Pros:
-Location! The Brunelleschi is practically steps from the Duomo.
-The staff were fairly helpful.
-The breakfast offering was plentiful.
-Cleanliness. The hotel is very well maintained.

Cons:
-The hotel is out of date and feels stale.
-There is no wifi in the rooms. This was an inconvenience as I was staying at this hotel for business and felt chained to the desk.
-There was no shower curtain or door in order to prevent water from getting out of the shower and not getting on the floor.
-Not so specific to the hotel but to the room I was staying in... it was located near the tram tracks and in the morning the noise from the tram was disturbing.
-It felt unsafe. They use physical keys which are attached to heavy keychains. They ask that you return the key to the front desk before leaving hotel property and just asking for it back when you return. Which is understandable, however when you return you just tell them your room number. No ID requested; they don't even ask your name.

We choose brunelleschi, based on trip advisors reviews, and overall it turned out to be the right choice...

The best thing about brunelleschi is its location, since it is in the very centre of Milano, 5' minutes walking distance from Duomo, shopping area, 7' from la scala, 11' from the castle and the cadorna train station that takes you to the airport for only €11. And despite that is in the centre of milano, the same time is situated in a very quite street...

The rooms was very comfortable, very clean and also had a great jacuzzi in the bathroom. The staff were very helpfull and nice.

Breakfast was just great.

All the above come in a very reasonable price.

I'll definately stay again in brunelleschi...

I cannot fault Hotel Brunelleschi. We arrived early in the morning from a long and very tiring trip from Australaia. The check in process was made very easy by polite and friendly staff and we were able to access our room straight away. Our room was clean and very well appointed and had the most fantastic shower. The breakfast selection was outstanding. The hotel location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the Duomo and easy access to other sightseeing. The only negative is that there are not many choices for an evening meal nearby, but a stroll to the Piazza Duomo provides plenty of choices and of course the hotel has its own ristorante for those too tired to venture out after a busy day sightseeing. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

My husband, 17-year old daughter and I stayed here in June. It was the perfect spot after an all-night flight from the USA. Here are the positives: 1) The location is ideal - walking distance to all the key sites (Duomo, Last Supper and more). 2) It is very quiet - an oasis in the city! 3) The breakfast is a feast in every sense of the word. 4) The room was split into 2 sides, so easily and comfortably accommodated the 3 of us. The only slight downside was the uneven service at the front desk. There were 1-2 staff who seemed genuinely helpful, but the others appeared basically uninterested in their jobs or the experience of their guests. (We had trouble with the wifi, for example, and we never did get that fixed while we were at the hotel) Despite this service issue, I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We got a triple room, which was ideal for the 3 of us. This option didn't seem available on-line, so I called the hotel directly to request the triple.
