We visited "Savana Ristorante Eritreo" 4 people. The atmosphere is pretty authentic, we loved the design and the guys (waiters) were helpful and very nice to us, helped us to choose and explained unusual foods. The diner was for sure interesting, worth trying and coming back, offers from vegetarian to meet dishes, unfortunately the fish has to be ordered in advance and we didn't know it, maybe it would be good to tell it for customers when they make reservations. Moreover, sadly one of us was allergic to nuts. There was not a single meal that did not include oil from nuts and we were only offered to get something without it when leaving :( . This is one of the most common allergies, it would be good if you had something without nuts.

Me and my boyfriend went to Milan for the day and got the fortune of visiting this restaurant. it was by far the highlight of our trip. The food was AMAZING and the service was fantastic. I can't wait to go back to Milan just to eat here again!

This restaurant was just vis-a-vis our hotel (38) and served us an unforgettable well tasted African dish we enjoyed without knife and fork. Very nice service and a fantastic interior!

Nice restaurant, great staff that's what gave this a very good rating.
The food whilst very nice was very safe. It appeared that they stick to a safe version of what can be a very varied and large possibility of dishes. Not sure if this is not to frighten their Italian clientele.
If you haven't tried this type of cuisine, it's a great place for an introduction.

It's easy to over due the Italian food while in Milan, as there are so many excellent restaurants. We were lucky to find a change of pace at Savana. Tucked away in the Chinatown / Porto Garibaldi area and away from the "beaten path", Savana is a small location that is a brief trip to Africa. Very clean, very friendly, and a nice atmosphere provide the setting for a limited menu that delivers quality and value. Appetizers and Main Dishes are limited to a choice of Vegetarian, Meat, or Fish. Appetizers in the form of a Sambusa and Main Dishes in the form of a prototypical Ethiopian style mixed platter. Wine is also limited, but again the quality shows through. Excellent food and a great value.
