We came upon this small hotel entirely by luck looking for a one night stop driving from UK to Tuscany. Within half an hour of booking in we had decided to make it two nights, not much could have been any better.
Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and even came with that beneficial item - a fridge (well minibar if you wanted to use it but we just put our picnic meats and cheeses in). Bathroom again was spacious good towels, mini shampoos etc as one would expect from a larger hotel and simple things like box of tissues which just make life easier. Breakfast was the most complete continental spread I have ever come across, with fresh juicer to do some of the pile of oranges if you didn't want one of the juices already jugged up, cheeses and meats, range of cakes and pastries, range of breads, jams, cereals, yogurts etc. Eggs available on request cooked freshly. We also ate in the restaurant both evenings, we chose the fixed price menu which seemed to give most the dishes on the a la carte pages, 20 euro for three courses. Everything we tried was tasty and well cooked. Parking is available and there is plenty of it for the twelve rooms they have. Was there a negative? - yes if you want to spend a lot of time on the balcony (all rooms in main building have...We came upon this small hotel entirely by luck looking for a one night stop driving from UK to Tuscany. Was there a negative? - yes if you want to spend a lot of time on the balcony (all rooms in main building have balconies overlooking the lake), the hotel is near the road and traffic was pretty constant, generally non commercial, throughout busy hours. Additionally one forgets that in Italy they allow smoking on hotel balconies, so although the room was non-smoking one did have neighbours who smoked. However, traffic noise was not intrusive inside the room at all. Oh - and hotel has large games room and TV lounge so children can be kept occupied and at the same time parentally supervised.
Owners cannot be more friendly.
All in all highly recommended if you like a small hotel with unexpected facilities.More
