Had the pasta with squid ink and fish sauce and it was good. My wife had the speck antipasti and it was a lot of speck, but that was basically all it was.

The family take pride in their food which is indicative of the region. Good eating and excellent friendly service. Comfortable space, very welcoming. Good value.

Well done in every way. Superb caring by the staff, amazing talent in the baker. Each selection of deserts was obviously lovingly created. The food was not fancy but had tasted great, fair price. the local cheese appetizer with artichokes was a taste delight

We happened upon this place during a day trip through Trento. It wasn't apparent how large it was on the inside from the modest doorway, but according the history this place has been a restaurant since 1345 but you'd never know. It is beautiful and comfortable on the inside and was packed with what seemed to be locals for lunch. The food here was excellent especially the venison (cervo) which was served with soft polenta and what I think was a wild mushroom sauce.

Had a pleasant 2 course lunch here for €19 from the fixed menu. There is plenty of choice from the fixed menu for both the first and second courses. The place was heaving with local workers so it is obviously popular and not your typical tourist trap.

The first course of pasta with ragu was acceptable although their definition of al dente is probably a bit on the too hard side. The side salad was generously sized although I rarely enjoy the shavings of raw carrot that feature in most mixed salads in Italy. The main course was griddled sausage meat which was tasty but spoilt by having olive oil poured all over it and cold potatoes as a side order. Other people around us appeared to be enjoying their main courses so this was probably just a bad choice on my part.

I'll definitely give this place a second chance next time I'm in town for lunch.
