Where to begin…. I had to stay here for two weeks in April while on a business trip. It was by far the noisiest, most cramped room I have ever stayed in. I was given a TINY room (about a 10 by 10 foot space) on the second floor facing the street. The bed was incredibly hard and there was no desk space. I had the keep my suitcase in front of the door because there was nowhere else to put it. The hotel is right across the street from a major hospital and ambulances constantly drove by while blaring their sirens. On top of that my room reeked of smoke, even though it was listed as a non-smoking room. I asked the man at front desk if I could have a different room, but all he did was yell at the housekeeper and have her douse the room in chemicals to try to mask the smell. I kept the window open during the day to air out the room but had to close it at night due to the loud street noise. It took about a week for the smoke/chemical smell to go away. Parking was at an additional cost and was difficult to access from the busy street. There is nothing in terms of shopping and eating in the immediate vicinity, but downtown Padua isn’t too far away, about a fifteen minute walk. The best part of the hotel was the breakfast, which was excellent and consisted of assorted croissants, rolls, deli meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and made to order cappuccino. The Internet also functioned well, but the uncomfortable room and lack of peace and quiet by far overshadowed the tasty breakfast and decent WiFi.

Room Tip: Get a room facing away from the street to cut down on noise

The room was very nice, clean and spaciuos. You can easily walk to the town within 10 - 15 minutes.

You have to pay for the parking. The ambulances are really noisy as there are no sound-proof windows in rooms facing the main street.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms facing the background, not the main street - you will hear plenty noisy ambulances...

Excellent hotel and service for a very reasonable price. Our stay in Padova was ..due to an accident. We stayed at the Maritan Hotel 4 nights and had to moved out due to a major conference where all rooms had already been booked. With no hesitation, we went back to the Maritan Hotel for another 2 nights. This hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to the hospital and central downtown, restaurant and shops. The rooms are clean, standards in size for European hotel. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of variety of fruits, pastries, etc. Parking, WIFI included. All staff either at the front desk, breakfast bar or room maintenance have been extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely go back to the Maritan Hotel if I get to go back in Padova.

It is a nice hotel with its own parking area. It is about 10-15 minutes to get the main attractions.
I had the problem with internet connection there, however, the personnel was very helpful and polite.

Stayed here for four nights while visiting padova for a business trip to the University hospital. The hotel is just 3 min walk to the hospital and 10 min of the famous church in padova. But you will not any choice for restaurants / shops nearby.

The check-in was smooth. But expect to have the typical Italian way of few words without smile. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is even tinier. You can hardly fit into the shower cabin, let alone bending to soap your legs. There are only few amenities in the room.

The good part is that wifi is free, even though you need to login every time. One night the wifi was not working and I had to do some pending e-mails. Even after complaining to the reception, they did not even try to do anything. Their answer was that, its late and we cant help it. Other than this, the wifi worked pretty well.

The breakfast is average, but its not the biggest of complains. There is coffee, fresh fruits, some bread, chest and even hard boiled eggs.

The hotel is a basic 2/3 star hotel. Will recommend only if you location/budget constrains you to this hotel. Heard from friends that there are much better places to stay in Padova near the station.
