All hotels in Venice are expensive but I believe this offers a decent value. I stayed for three nights in the first week of Aug in the 1-bedroom suite overlooking the grnade canal for eur 450/night inclusive of tax, breakfast and wifi.
It is one stop from the boat station although still a bit of a walk.
There is no restaurant but breakfast is served in the few tables in the lobby which also serves as their cocktail bar in the early evening.
I get the sense that they are under-manned. The staff for the breakfast also does the luggage service. I suppose with only a few rooms and with most guests out during the day not a lot are needed. In any case we were greeted with a warm welcome upon checkin.
There is a convenience store just a few streets behind the hotel for water and soda. Pizzerias and restaurants are in every corner throughout the city. Try to avoid the ones closer to st marco's square as they tend to be more expensive.

Everything is of superb quality in this hotel and you can really see the thoughts they put into each detail - from the light switch to where the sockets are placed. We went for the highest room (Casa Nova) in the hotel which has a sky window that opens up to see the sky at night, it was very romantic. Breakfast was truly a gem - the croissants are made fresh and they tasted super delicious. There are only two tables that are out on the balcony so people have to wait for the outdoor tables. They offer free water taxi rides to the glass factory on Murano island, but it was a complete waste of time. Transport organized by the hotel to the island was perfect, but the hotel didn't arrange our transportation back and we were stuff with like 10 other people in small boat which made us completely soaked on our way back. The boat did not stop back at our hotel but just dropped us off, all soaked, at St. Mark's Square. It was the worst boat ride. Avoid the hotel's free ticket to Murano at all, you can better spend your time in Venice doing something else.

Our first night of our honeymoon, we expected the room we saw on the website (the room type was identical) - instead we got the attic!!! When we complained we offered a free bottle of Prosecco and the excuse that the hotel was full and the other rooms in the same category were given to families because they fit cots.
I was in tears, they wouldn't offer us a rebate. Either get the room name in writing (NOT Casanova) or go somewhere else.

Well, what can I say only thank you for our perfect stay in your wonderful hotel. Our full thanks go to the wonderful staff at hotel, they were so very attentive and caring, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you especially to the wonderful smiley lady on reception ( I'm sorry, I can't spell your name) you work so hard to make everyone's stay so special, you remembered all of your guests by name and nothing was too much trouble. I asked her one day what time she finished her shift, her reply was, "2 hours ago but I love my job so much I never want to leave" and this shows, her attention to detail is just outstanding, she ensured that my friend and I felt like Princesses. Thank you so much, hope to see you again soon. Maralyn Beswick-Brown
