Curtains hanging off wall. Rock hard bed. Stingy breakfast limited to 1 croissant per person. No lift. Limited space to securely store luggage. Overall VERY disappointed for €200 a night. I would never stay here again. Overpriced and very poor quality.

We stayed for 2 nights. No one could help us get our bags up stairs to even the check in desk which was one flight up; muchless the 2 more flights to our room. Another guest felt sorry for us and carried our bags to check in desk. We then had to wait several more hours for bags to be carried to our room by a staff member. They did not reimburse us in anyway for the inconvenience. They seemed to care less.
Beds were hard and rooms were tiny. The tiny alley to the hotel was dimly lit and dingy. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

No one was there to bring up the luggage and no elevator. So we arrived at 2:00 the check in time but didn't get our luggage brought up until 5:45. No apologies, just excuses! On one of the TripAdvisor Emails the address was incomplete/incorrect so we walked for an hour with our luggage to find it, over bridges etc. Then to find it was 2 minutes from the Boat! Good location but down a scary looking alley with someones old bed leaning against the wall outside. Smelled bad in the halls and dirty carpet in the room. Staff not friendly upon arrival at all. They didn't want to split the beds for us as it "was already made up" Two singles were requested. They did it but were not happy about it.

Room tip: No elevator, so if you are not in shape, stay in the lower floors. Better yet... find another place.

We had booked (and paid) in advance before seeing some of the poor reviews on TripAdvisor, so we were anxious about what we would find when we arrived. But we were pleasantly surprised that our double room was large, the bathroom was clean and the breakfasts at 6 euros each were better and cost less than elsewhere locally.
Nothing in Venice was cheap, so we got what we paid for. The location is really great - only a couple of minutes from the waterfront at San Zaccaria and only 5 minutes from the Doges' Palace and St Mark's square.
The hotel decor was tired and there is no lift/elevator, so I hesitate to recommend the Hotel Lux - but if you are on budget, have no mobility issues and want to stay near some of Venice's main tourist attractions then this may be the place for you.

Stayed for two nights-awful! No,lifts and put on the fourth floor! Rooms very tiny and nothing works. GOd help us if there was a fire! Shower didn't work, tv not working, breakfast was awful . Only good thing was it was close to San Zacceria water bus stop. Lucky that Venice is such a beautiful place as it took our minds off this hotel. Find somewhere else if you can.

Room tip: There are no lifts and only rooms on second floor
