Right from the time we have first written inquiring about the room till we checked in, the response on email was very prompt. We were given the room on the 4th floor. Its indeed a difficult trek up the stairs. Tommaso helped carry part of our luggage after the check-in. The location is only a couple of minutes from the Rialto bridge vaporetta stop. And a few minutes from the St. Marks square. Breakfast was very good.

I was at Ai Bareteri on the occasion of a business trip and stayed there for three nights. The hotel is calm (given that the room gave on the right side), the tenants and the other guests were also respectful and calm. The hotel has charm, my room was spacious (for Venice standards, I was in room 301). The breakfast are ok, and the personel is helping and polite.

No tv in the room, that was pretty fine with me. No elevators, fine with me also. The intenet connection maybe was a bit slow, but not to the point where I would complain.

My family and I stayed in this hotel this summer. We had a very good time and a nice surprise. From the outside we were skeptics, since it doesn't really catches your eye. But once inside we were glad we chose this hotel. The staff was very friendly and eager to help with everything, breakfast was OK and rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are right next to the breakfast place, so if you plan to sleep in choose a room on the upper levels, if not this are great.

I have spent way too much of my life staying in hotels, but this hotel a delight. They could not do enough to help us. The room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

I stayed here with my husband last weekend (mis sept) for 3 nights when we went to venice. We took the public bus No5 tickets purchased in the airport information desk cost 6euros each including luggage for a single journey to Piazza Roma or the bus station remember when you get on the bus go to the electronic machine and hold the card to the proximity reader to validate ( If you don't you can get a fine), do not try to stick it into the other machine thats the wrong one it may actually even be redundant! You may see a notice on the bus saying DO NOT DISTURB at the drivers window! From here its a 20min walk with luggage or you get on the vaporetto from here, of course you can get the vaporetto from the airport to the Rialto bridge which is not far but takes approx 50mins. Water taxi's are also available but they are alot more expensive.
Venice hotels are extremly expensive and for a B&B near St Marco Square and not too far from the Rialto bridge this is a good find and Very good for a B&B. The staff are great the hotel is clean and the rooms are ensuite but it is as i said basic. There is no fridge, safe or Tv in the rooms this maynot be a problem for others but i really just needed somewhere to keep our bottled water cold and there wasn't anywhere!
Breakfast wasn't our cup of tea but it was typical of what the locals were eating when you went out. some fruit, a croissant ( no cheese or ham)and a bread roll. Condiments such as jams, nutella etc are on the side with some yogurts and a cup of very strong coffee (we didn't like it!).
The staff are very helpful and you can go and see them in the office on the 1st floor any time of the day and the evening, there is a guy we called the crazy one who is extremly enthusiastic and very knowledgable, he is able to draw all the vaporetto stops and route numbers onto a map for you and give you help for any restaurant booking general info, tours etc. As with all squares such as St Marco a glass of prosecco will cost approx 16 euros and 18 euro's in Harrys bar for a Billin, but I reckon those things have got to be done whilst in venice. Most other little cafes have great drinks at alot cheaper prices but remember that restaurants won't just give you a drink unless they have tables outside that aren't set with cutlery. There is a fantastic restaurant approx 10mins from the hotel and over the rialto in San Polo area where you will find La Porta D'Acqua you have to go its fantastic look it up its got great reviews also there is an indian restaurant if you get a craving its fantastic ~ Ganesh Ji, Rio Marin, give it a try! enjoy your venice adventure fantastic windy streets, great food and drink what more could a couple want!
