We had lunch here based on the reviews and came away quite disappointed. Our appetizers we no more than pre-frozen breaded fried squares of pulverized clams and breadcrumbs served with prepared tarter sauce on avery minimal leaf of lettuce. The recommended house wine was bitter. Pizza was nothing exceptional. Would not go back.

Passed the resto on a Sunday night, booked out but the charming hostess suggested we book for Monday which we did and we glad to have done so. Very nice sophisticated but informal ambiance with nice jazz playing in the background. Knowledgeable waiters were able to advise us and make recommendations for the wine - Venetian Soave that didn't break the bank. My wife and I had 3 courses and while well above the average cost of a resto in the area, was well worth it given the quality of the food. Highlight of the starters was an excellent bean and sausage soup following a complimentary bisque, and for mains we had excellent monkfish. Desserts included the hazelnut ice-cream and pear/pear cake with cinnamon and grappa - delicious. Recommended

We hadn't reserved a table and the restaurant was very busy. Luckily for us however, someone had reserved a table for 2 outside and then not shown up and we were given this table. Lots of people arrived after us, to be turned away.
The service was excellent, friendly and efficient.
The food however was mixed. We both had the crab to start which was delicious. We then had duck as the main course (I think it was a special for the day), which was a disappointment. The dish had no flavour and didn't look particularly appetising (we even questioned if it was duck?!) - I could cook better at home! Such a shame as having read the reviews they obviously create some wonderful dishes.
I wish I could give a higher review than average as the service, setting and starter were all very good, but the main course was so disappointing that it really let the meal down.

This was our third visit to this charming restaurant (last time was 20 years ago!) and it did not disappoint... still delicious! The husband and wife are celebrating their 30th year at the same location ( he’s Italian and she is a fellow Texan!). Service is excellent and the fish expertly prepared with all the desserts made in house by Diane.
Highly recommend!

Small, well run, friendly place. You will need to book in advance and yes, do leave some space for that hazelnut ice cream.
